Woodlands House Care and Nursing Home offers residential, nursing and specialist dementia care in a quiet, desirable residential area of Colliers Wood, with excellent road links and transport networks for visiting relatives.

The highly trained and dedicated staff team at Woodlands provide person-centred care to each resident to ensure they feel loved and valued. Each resident is cared for in a warm and homely environment designed to be an extension of their own family life.

Woodlands House is designed with residents in mind and is fully equipped to provide care in a pleasant and comfortable setting. Recently renovated inside and out, Woodlands House provides a luxurious yet homely environment for residents, offering spacious en-suite bedrooms and beautiful communal spaces with thoughtful touches throughout the home. Each floor also has assisted bathrooms and shower rooms for those with mobility issues.

The activities and well-being coordinators offer a wide range of daily activities tailored to individual preferences. They love getting to know each resident and their likes and dislikes, enabling us to help them enjoy their hobbies and interests and continue to live fulfilling lives with us at Woodlands House. A big part of this is the home's relationship with the local community and they frequently host events for local shops, groups, churches and societies (when they are able to). These societies provide them with social outlets for residents to enhance their lifestyles.

Mum had a short period of respite at Woodlands House Care & Nursing Home, so our family were familiar with the services provided. Mum is living with Alzheimer's and became a resident earlier this year, a difficult decision for us as a family, but the staff have been very supportive in the transition.
A huge thank you to all of the staff who do a fantastic job.

The staff at Woodlands Care Home were just absolutely fantastic and friendly. Food and drink service is just like first-class on a train! Clean and tidy rooms. Very good atmosphere. The way they managed Covid-19 was a big challenge but they managed very, very well. Woodlands Care Home must be rewarded
with a medal or something because of the best service the staff provide together.

On the whole, I'm very happy with the personal care provided to my mother by all the staff at Woodlands. Some minor points such as sometimes when I've been to visit she has been wearing clothes that I'm sure are not hers but in the scheme of things that's a pretty trivial point.
The staff have been
very helpful to me and my mum and they seem to genuinely care for the residents.

The staff in this care home are very friendly and the facilities are really good, they run a very tight ship and always willing to speak about any problems you have overall I think this is a really great care facility.
It has been very hard during the Covid-19 pandemic not being able to see loved ones
but this care home made it possible via video so we were still able to see our mother.
Any problems you can go to the manager and one way or another it will be sorted.
This is why I rate this care home very high.

I have found Woodlands House to provide a very caring service for my father; the staff are always polite and helpful, and they helped my father settle into the home. Woodlands has a good atmosphere and I find the staff to be kind and compassionate.

The carers are magnificent people, always welcoming and caring towards my mother and her family.
We are grateful for their endeavours and sacrifices during these most difficult times. We appreciate their understanding of our culture and they have made us feel totally as a family during difficult times.

The staff at Woodlands House have been very good at helping me to maintain contact with my mother during the difficult period of lockdown, when I was unable to visit her in the Care Home. I have been able to telephone my mother regularly, and this has been very good at keeping me and my mother in touch
with each other. This has been a very difficult time - and still is - during which the staff at Woodlands House have coped very well.

I am a cousin of a resident and have visited my cousin from time to time during the last four years. All the staff are very helpful, friendly, patient and caring. I can see that they take care of my cousin well. The home is clean, family-oriented and is a comfortable place. Food looks good as well.
I am very grateful to the staff and wish them well in this difficult time.

A weight has been taken from my shoulders when I could no longer care for my husband as I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Woodlands were so kind and caring that a painful situation was made a bit easier because they were so kind.

In just a month, my mum is beginning to feel really at home here. The carers treat her as if she was a loved member of their own family and keep me well informed. My only concern is that there aren't enough activities to keep her stimulated but I'm reassured that the new management will be addressing
this very soon.

Mum has been extremely well cared for since she moved in four years ago. The staff are all friendly, caring and considerate. The food is very good. The rooms have plenty of wardrobe space and the whole place is kept very clean and tidy. The garden is nice with plenty of sun and shade and is a relaxing
place to sit. The home is efficiently run and has a nice atmosphere.

Staff and management looking after my aunty very well.

Initially, we were taken in by the look and feel of Woodlands. Modern, light, airy rooms. Staff seemed friendly. Don't be fooled by this! Most staff were unhelpful, lazy and rude. No attempt was made to alter medication (via GP) and Mum was given 4 sachets of laxative daily, even though she clearly
didn't need it! Distressing for Mum and us. Certain tablets were ticked off as given but weren't! Mum's teeth and hearing aid were often missing, the latter was lost (£1,200)! Communication was not forthcoming and we had to 'badger' them for any info. The whole experience still upsets me now! Never again!
