My friend came for respite at Ruby Lodge. It is a truly amazing place where she had the best care ever. Friends and relatives were treated absolutely amazing. Coffee was a lovely gesture and the price was brilliant. Always someone to greet you on arrival. Would definitely recommend you.

Ruby Lodge was welcoming to My Mum and made her feel settled in, The staff were very kind and looked after Mum with her various needs, including getting her favourite newspaper!

All the Staff were very warm and friendly especially the Receptionist. Lovely Home, Good atmosphere. Very Clean. The overall experience was better than I expected. Facilities are very good. Coffee was very good.

My husband spent 10 nights at Ruby Lodge for respite. From the first visit to the discharge process I could not fault anything.
Time was taken to get to know my husband's needs along with his likes and dislikes. Communication was excellent and all members of the team were very friendly.
Ruby Lodge itself
is beautiful and extremely clean. I don't think there is anything to compare with it in this area.
We will definitely be using it again for future respite periods and look forward to
joining a coffee morning soon.

My relative first went to Ruby Lodge for respite after several falls and a spell in hospital. He has thrived in the short time he has lived there. He has put on weight and looks better than he has for the last two years. Every time we visit we find him playing a game or chatting to other residents.
His mental health and quality of life has improved and he is once again enjoying life. Really impressed with the staff who are very kind, know everyone's name and always know where we can find him. The facilities really contribute to his wellbeing.He benefits from being able to access different spaces around the building, whether that is scrabble in the pub, a coffee in the cafe, painting in the activity room or a quiet chat in a lounge.

From the moment we walked through the door of Ruby Lodge Care Home, mum was made to feel welcome. It is a friendly, professional home with efficient, caring staff, management, reception, carers and entertainment. spacious and immaculate in all areas. Nothing is too much trouble if mum has needs or requests.

I was very nervous and apprehensive of going into a care home for respite care. My fear was soon overcome when I arrived at the beautiful Ruby Lodge Care Home. The wonderful staff made my stay so enjoyable they couldn't do enough for me. I enjoyed the company, food and the excellent care I was given.
am returning shortly for respite care again this time I am happy and looking forward to meeting everyone again.

Ruby Lodge, is beautiful care home ti the standards of a 5 star hotel.
The staff are welcoming, friendly always going above and beyond with the care they give. My mam has been in other care homes for respite care did not come anywhere near the standards of Ruby Lodge. On my mams recent respite stay,
she returned home happy and is always talking about the staff and residents she has met. So much so she is returning for another respite stay. Thanks to all the wonderful staff for making my mams stay so enjoyable.

My uncle first attended Ruby Lodge for some restbite care following a spell in hospital. The management and staff have been excellent right from the start. Everyone is very welcoming.
The senior care staff have been liaising with the hospital and GP about his care needs and ongoing medication.
My
uncle has decided he likes it at Ruby Lodge so much that he's decided to become a permanent resident which is great as it gives our family peace of mind that he will be safe and well looked after.

My Uncle is in his 90s & required Respite care after Hospital stay.
Ruby Lodge is a wonderful homely environment which we all loved from our initial visit.
My Uncle was made to feel very welcome, and we were so impressed with the facilities and the level of genuine care all the staff showed towards
him. They supported his medical needs as well as respecting his shy nature and need to adjust to his new environs in his own time.
After a number of weeks my Uncle made the decision to become a permanent resident & part of the Ruby Lodge family.
He's really settled in, more than we ever thought he would, & this is a hugely positive reflection on the time, care, interest & dedication to improving his well being by the staff at there.
The staff are wonderful & so committed to caring for their residents & support their families.
We're so happy we found Ruby Lodge where our Uncle is happy, safe, cared for and able enjoy his life with dignity thanks to the great team there

My brother was admitted to Ruby Lodge in early April directly from hospital where he had been for 7 weeks. The care he received during those weeks was not good and on admission to Ruby Lodge he was weak, malnourished, personal hygiene had been neglected, diminished muscle tone contributed to his total
lack of mobility. He was a sad sight. Now 9 weeks on the change is remarkable and the improvement in his condition is exceptional. All due to the superb care he is receiving. Each member of staff is caring, friendly, professional,
considerate, thoughtful, competent and compassionate. Excellent management ensures the team share the same high standards of care which are outstanding on every level.
Having spent my career in health care I feel qualified to attribute these remarks to those extraordinary individuals who make Ruby Lodge an outstanding care home

Very accommodating in supporting my mother's mobility needs, and moving her to a second room to better accommodate her furniture requirements.
Mum's medication requirements have altered whilst she has been a resident and the staff have been good at supporting these changes, ensuring mum receives the
correct doses at the correct times.

Mum was taken in before Christmas for respite. The staff worked hard with Mum to get her settled. She has become a permanent resident. Mum needs 24hr care. As a family we could not have found a better place for her.

We cannot thank the staff of Ruby Lodge enough for all that they have provided in the care of my mum
Mum had colon cancer and was very unwell for a couple of weeks. With the help of Ruby Lodge she has made a steady recovery over the last month and has regained her humour, her strength and her smile

Holly has worked in care since the age of 14 and has a wealth of experience in residential care, domiciliary, and learning disabilities. In the last 10 years, she has commissioned two new services for Extra Care. Holly is excited to launch Ruby Lodge in her hometown of Thirsk, offering outstanding care to the most vulnerable in her local community. She is eager to build a strong staff team with the same drive and passion as herself and ensure Ruby Lodge is at the heart of the community in Thirsk.
