We came to visit my dad and as we arrived there was a 'car wash' going on in the carpark. Wheelchair residents having their wheels washed under the rainbow sprinkler. Everyone looked like they were having a great time. We love how the care home comes up with these ideas for a bit of fun. Really raises everyones spirits. We are really pleased we found it here for dad
Excellent respite care. The staff were friendlym caring and always willing to help. They were extremely welcoming from the moment my mum arrived up to the moment she left. She was made to feel special and was included in everything. As family, we were kept in the loop and had great peace of mind that she was being looked after thoroughly.
My Uncle has been resident in Lostock Lodge for 12 months. He has settled in really well, is receiving excellent care and the staff treat him with compassion and respect. The management and care team have been receptive to any minor issues we have raised. The team not only care for the residents but for the family too, they always make us feel very welcome. It's very reassuring for the family to know that he is in a safe and caring place with excellent staff.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Lostock Lodge. We appreciate your kind words, and it's our pleasure to care for your Uncle.
Visited my friend at Lostock Lodge care home recently. She has been in respite here and has absolutely loved it. Says it been like home from home. Such lovely staff. Home has an outing in the minibus and she really enjoyed having the opportunity to do this.
We are very happy to receive your wonderful review of Lostock Lodge Care Home. We will pass on your kind words to the staff team.

Found the home to be extremely clean. The staff were very professional and were very engaging with everyone and always ensured that only my friend was okay they made sure I was too.
Very helpful information from the team on the reception area as to what is going on in the home. Very clean and welcoming. Arrived just before meals and the food looked and smelt lovely. My friend is very happy there. The staff are always helpful and kind.

Care home staff always polite, friendly and helpful - senior care staff have an excellent understanding of resident health, needs and behaviours. Because I live at a distance and my parents cannot communicate well by phone, it would be good to have more regular updates, maybe on a monthly basis, and as I cannot attend relatives meetings, it would be good to have minutes recorded and available. When I do have updates, communications are clear and detailed and assessments and care plans always very transparent and well-considered. The Care Manager has a thorough understanding of my parents day to day and longer-term care needs and works to manage their care in an empathetic and supportive manner. Accommodation is clean and well-managed and drinks and food always available - social activities are varied and delivered from an enthusiastic team. Reception always responds to enquiries and requests and is a valuable link to staff and records - always friendly and understanding.
All staff polite, the home is always clean. My nan loves the activities and food and she getting there now with meeting new friends. Nan always looks happy and clean and tidy when you go. One of the activities that my Nan really liked and told us all about for weeks was the singers that came in and they were dancing with her.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Lostock Lodge Care Home. It is our pleasure to care for your nan and it was wonderful to see her joining in with our recent entertainment.
Overall the provision provides a good standard of care. Staff are attentive to individuals' needs and are caring towards the residents. On occasions the home does appear to be short-staffed, especially when a more needy resident takes precedence. Food is of a high standard with a good variety, and it's nice to see residents encouraged to sit at the table for their meals. Any concerns are acted upon by management and a response received in a timely manner.
Thank you for acknowledging the high standard of care and dedication of our staff and thank you for your feedback we always strive to deliver the highest standards of care and we will take this on board. Kind regards, Lostock Lodge.
The staff at this care home are incredibly considerate and kind. Our Mum is not the easiest resident to deal with as her needs are complex. The home deals with her situation really well and it provides relief to myself and my sister as we know she is being cared for and is safe. There is a genuine endeavour to want to help Mum’s condition improve/settle and we are very grateful. We would be very stuck without Lostock Lodge.
Thank you for sharing your experience. It's heart-warming to hear how our staff's kindness and dedication have provided comfort to your family and support for your Mum's needs. We're grateful for your trust in Lostock Lodge. Kind regards, Lostock Lodge.
My father has been a resident at Lostock Lodge since April 2022, The care and genuine affection he receives is second to none. He is encouraged to be as independent as possible but receives help as and when needed in a very understanding way. All the team are incredibly helpful and friendly - they are Dad's extended family! I live in Portugal and the reassurance I get from knowing how well Dad is cared for is a great comfort. I am informed of any changes immediately but trust the team to manage Dad's care in his best interests. I visit for a week every month/6 weeks and during my daily visits to the Lodge I witness first-hand the upmost care and attention the staff give to all the residents, not just my father. I must also add that the food is fabulous! Such a great choice and so tasty. Even if Dad wants tea and toast at 2 am this isn't a problem! Thank you to everyone at Lostock Lodge - you are all truly amazing!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We appreciate your kind words and support for our home, which will be shared with the staff team. Best Regards, Lostock Lodge.
Mum still has a level of independence and the family have peace of mind knowing Mum is well cared for and safe.
The staff are always very welcoming and helpful.
Best regards
Lostock Lodge Care Home
Mum was taken into Lostock Lodge originally as respite during the pandemic but ended up staying as a resident for the last 4 years. From the very beginning when we had to leave Mum at the reception, the staff were incredibly patient and caring, explaining to us what they would do to help Mum and took their time to make sure we were happy with everything they did. Whenever we visit, staff are taking care of Mum, giving her hugs and taking time to talk to her and we are fully reassured that she is receiving the best care possible. When she began to decline, we were told immediately and the staff always make sure we are fully informed of any changes in treatment or medication. We were very nervous about releasing Mum from our care but we know she is getting A-star class care at Lostock, from staff who know Mum and her condition better than we do, and provide the care, understanding and patience she needs, probably better than we could. A fantastic team all round, thank you, Lostock.
Best regards
Lostock Lodge Care Home
It’s lovely to see the pictures on social media of her enjoying herself.
Food options are good with various options per meal. Snacks and drinks are always available and nothing seems to be too much trouble.
I was very apprehensive about Mum going into a home, but Lostock Lodge has surpassed all expectations. I would recommend this home to everyone.
Staff fully engage with the residents and understand that each person is an individual and has different care and support needs. Excellent home.
We're truly grateful for your recommendation and deeply pleased to hear how Lostock Lodge has supported your mum and exceeded your expectations. Our team's dedication to personalised care and keeping families connected, even from afar, is something we take great pride in. I will pass on your kind words to our team.
