I am looking forward to seeing the activities that Dad will be taking part in, already I have seen photos on facebook of Dad enjoying himself, which is so reassuring and helps put my mind at rest!

It is a comfort to me that he is in 'safe hands'.

My wife and I have power of attorney for two elderly ladies who have been at Lostock Lodge now for 3 weeks. We have been very pleased with everything so far. The ladies are happy and settled. Communication with the staff is excellent and they have always been most helpful. The atmosphere in the Lodge is relaxing and welcoming. This situation puts my wife’s mind at rest and therefore takes a lot of pressure off me. Thank you.

The home has a great atmosphere, staff are friendly and people are well looked after. My friend went in on respite and has improved significantly since being at Lostock Lodge. The activities, environment and care have really helped.

Since my husband has been at Lostock Lodge I can happily say I have only seen care and professionalism from the staff. It has given me some peace of mind.

After my mother lost her husband of 60 years rather quickly, the shock of the next step in her life alone has been really tough. Lostock Lodge has made that very hard step easier by being a warm, friendly and caring environment. The facility is modern, clean, vibrant and special and the staff are attentive, courteous and hard working. We are all very pleased that Mum has settled. It is a tough time for her grieving, being alone in some ways yet making new friends at the same time. Lostock Lodge are supporting her very well.

The quality of the staff, the friendliness of the other residents and the excellent overall service at the home have all contributed to dad deciding on his own to stay on a permanent basis. This is always a difficult decision for someone, having been so independent for so long. We would not hesitate in recommending Lostock Lodge Care Home to anybody considering residential care.

My dad moved into Lostock Lodge care home at the end of August 2018. The staff could not have been more helpful with the transition, he was made to feel part of the 'big family' straight away and he is now happy and settled in his new home. The care and the food are very good and I would have no problem recommending this care home.

Lostock Lodge Care Home is a purpose-built care home, bright, airy, with comfortable lounges and space to move around with zimmer frames and wheelchairs etc. I have been here seven weeks to accompany my stroke-disabled wife. My own care requirements are not very demanding, but my wife needs 24hr care and also has dietary requirements. The staff are all very kind and caring in their different ways and there is a lovely, warm atmosphere.

I have been researching care homes for the last 12 months and this is by far the best. I am now very happy now I have moved in.

My mother has been at Lostock Lodge Care Home for a year. The difference in her in that time is amazing, she has various health problems that she was neglecting before she moved into the home. The staff there have been brilliant and very supportive both to mum and me.

Carers are genuinely caring and look after mum really well. The catering staff is equally friendly and caring. Food is very good.

Lovely home - facilities great, staff caring and kind, activities good, residents appear well looked after. I wouldn't be put off by the CQC rating based on my experiences.

The care staff are superb but overworked - simply not enough staff. Only one carer for a whole floor on April 21st 2018.

Lostock Lodge Care Home provided very good care for my father for the final three months of his life. The staff were really caring and spotted any signs of illness swiftly, putting in the appropriate action immediately. The mental stimulation provided by the Activities Team was great, I would suggest that even more of this is made available, particularly to those in a secure dementia unit. The care that was provided to the family when Dad passed away was extremely good, the staff treated us with a lot of care and support through a very difficult time.

The management and staff have been very supportive during this stressful period of adjustment. The level of care provided by Lostock Lodge would have been impossible to match if my Mum had remained in her own home.

We have spoken to the management about this and we are waiting to see if things improve.

Every time I visit I get the same impression. This is an excellent facility. Mum has settled in well and is enjoying the food and being looked after.

We approached Lostock Lodge in the first instance as Respite Care for Mum back in November for 4 weeks only - but realised very quickly that Mum would be getting far better care if she stayed permanently with the family at Lostock - it was closer to her family here in Cheshire and she would be more stimulated during the day. It has taken a good 6 weeks for Mum to stop asking to go home but is now settled and enjoying all the festivities on offer at the home - she is loving the crafts, knitting, painting classes and more recently the choirs.

Thank you Lostock for settling Mum in so quickly - she now has lots of friends as well as her family to talk to.
