Care Homes Owned by Country Court

9.7 Group Review Score (the average from all locations with a review score)
  • Care Homes Owned by Country Court
Country Court was founded in 1983 with the opening of their first care home, Beech Lodge in Holbeach, Lincolnshire.

The care home’s reputation soon grew, led by kindness, compassion and dignity. A further seven homes were opened by 1990 establishing Country Court as one of the region's most trusted group of care homes. A combination of nursing skills and a professional, yet homely environment, the model for care continued to expand and today Country Court is both caring for and employing thousands of people across the UK.

Through the standard of care and the modern, comfortable homes created for residents, Country Court aspires to provide the kind of care every one of us would wish loved ones to receive. The group operates 41 nursing and care homes and plans to open a further three homes in 2022. It remains a family-run business to this day, with the company philosophy “Our family caring for yours” at the heart of every home.

Walberton Place Care Home

from Jodie J (Friend of Resident) published on 12 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I came to visit today at your care home. I was very nervous to see my friend as I hadn't seen her for a few weeks. I used to clean for her and be her companion. So I have missed her terribly. I arrived and was greeted by a lovely receptionist, who was welcoming and told me where she would be, and her
room. I was then greeted by a member of staff, who told me she was having her lunch, but I could say hello. When she saw me, her face lit up, and we had a huge hug. I let her finish her lunch and then she came and found me in the corridor, we had plenty of hugs, laughter and tears, but I can see my friend is being well looked after and is very happy and content in her new setting. The home is in a beautiful setting, the location is stunning, and the home is immaculate and so clean. The staff were all friendly and smiley and it really made me feel at ease. I will visit her regularly and I am so happy to see her smile and I can't wait for that extra hug, and chats. Thank you for taking such great care of her.

from N H (Daughter of Resident) published on 6 August 2025

My Mother was a resident for 2 years and was always treated with respect and kindness. Her room was always clean and smelt fresh. She especially enjoyed the food and we were impressed that the chef knew all her favourite dishes. Having extra living space and an in-house cafe was a marvellous as it meant
visitors didn't have to sit in her bedroom. The outside garden and courtyard are excellent spaces that we all enjoyed. I would certainly recommend.

Pemberley Manor Care Home

from Danny P (Husband of Resident) published on 1 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

As a family it was heartbreaking to have to make the decision to look for residential care, for my wife, who has Alzheimers.
From the moment we stepped into Pemberley Manor, we knew this was the only home we wanted for her. The staff are so friendly, approaching my wife first, before talking to me,
showing us that she would be their priority.

The facilities, decor, and general condition of Pemberley is superb, feeling more like a hotel than a care home. It's always kept nice and clean.
The dining room is like a restaurant, serving freshly cooked, varied, nutritional meals
Activities are organised every day, and although my wife doesn't participate in many, those which she has, she very much enjoyed.

It's still early days, and obviously my wife has to learn to trust the staff, and they have to get to know her. So far however, she seems to be settling in well, with lots of smiles, showing us that she is happy.
This gives us great comfort, many thanks to all the staff at Pemberley Manor.

Reply from Lauren Digby, Customer Relations Manager at Pemberley Manor Care Home

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. We understand how incredibly difficult it can be to make the decision to seek residential care for a loved one, and we're truly honoured that you chose Pemberley Manor for your wife's new home. It means a great deal to us to hear that you felt welcomed and reassured from the moment you arrived, and that our team's approach helped you feel confident in your decision. Ensuring that our residents are always the focus of our care is at the heart of everything we do, and we're so pleased that this was evident to you from the start. We're also glad that the facilities, atmosphere, and meals have met your expectations, and that your wife has already begun to settle in. We know how important trust and familiarity are especially with Alzheimer's and our team is committed to getting to know her and supporting her in a way that makes her feel safe, respected, and valued. Seeing those smiles you mentioned is the best feedback we could hope for.

My mother in law has been living at Fairfield manor for the last 5 years and she is very happy, albeit her dementia journey has deteriorated. It has always been very important for her to be smart, have her hair done, jewellery on and this continues everyday. She is always dressed smartly and the carers
take time with her. She still has a good appetite and enjoys the varied menu. She loves to join in with the activities and loves a good sing song! As a family we enjoy coming to visit. The Bistro is such a social area for everyone to come together for a coffee or to join in with the activities.

Activities staff have taken a nose dive since Mum first moved here Oct 23. Used to be a fun place to be, with music playing in the back ground, now its a sad place. Staff are very caring and work very hard but activities staff need sorting - more activities staff needed. Also not everyone likes crafts!
my Mum needs more stimulation, so much so that I now pay for a private carer 2hrs a week to take her out. (not good considering the amount of fees paid). I am hoping her private caring does not go against her receiving her share of activity.
Mum used to like going to The Ark - there used to be enough staff to take 3 or more people there, just to get away from the home, now seemingly only 1 person can be taken, only 1 member of staff available to do it. The activity sheet states The Ark trip on Friday which portrays there is a trip of a few people - I find out today that its only for 1 person!!? Is the sheet just a paper exercise? disappointing for Mum. More staff needed please.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review for Neale Court Care Home. We are sorry to hear that you feel there's been a decline in the activities since your mum moved in. We completely understand how important it is for our residents to feel stimulated, engaged, and part of a lively, happy home, and we're taking your feedback on board. We're currently reviewing our activities provision and have recently advertised for additional activity staff to help us bring more variety and energy back to the home. We understand how important this is, and we are committed to making improvements. We are also looking at how we communicate trips like The Ark to ensure plans reflect what's realistically possible and avoid confusion. Please be assured that any private support arranged for your mum will not affect her access to group activities-we want all residents to enjoy a full and stimulating lifestyle. If you'd like to chat in more detail, we'd be very happy to meet with you.

Summer Lane Care & Nursing Home

I have been a permanent resident at Summer Lane Care Home since 2022. In that time I have found the staff here take their duties seriously at all levels. The carers complete their work cheerfully and well. The receptionists are welcoming and answer queries willingly. The catering staff will provide
whatever the residents request within reason. The rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard. Visiting families have the use of the coffee shop and courtyard. Minibus outings are arranged by the activities team. Whatever level of care is needed it is well catered for.

I have not rated some of the services simply because, as a volunteer visitor, with no specific person, friend or relative belonging to me here, I have not experienced some aspects of the home. I have no idea of the costs involved in being a resident here, so I cannot comment about value for money.
However,
the home has a good reputation in the area.

Would be good to have wooden floors in bedrooms and different flooring in shower. Reason is keeping it clean easier.
Bistro is good social area.
Garden and outdoor space is lovely.

We as a family are pleased with the care my mother is being given at Neale Court.
We feel that the service and care is 1st class.
My only negative is that a few of the residents need more care than others. I myself have felt a little vulnerable at the few residents wandering around the lounge, a little
pack like., or wandering round with cutlery in hand, or having their belongings moved etc. Perhaps a suggestion would be that if some residents that need the extra care they could use the 1st floor lounge and bedroom facilities.
