9.7 Group Review Score (the average from all locations with a review score)
  • Care Homes Owned by Country Court
Country Court was founded in 1983 with the opening of their first care home, Beech Lodge in Holbeach, Lincolnshire.

The care home’s reputation soon grew, led by kindness, compassion and dignity. A further seven homes were opened by 1990 establishing Country Court as one of the region's most trusted group of care homes. A combination of nursing skills and a professional, yet homely environment, the model for care continued to expand and today Country Court is both caring for and employing thousands of people across the UK.

Through the standard of care and the modern, comfortable homes created for residents, Country Court aspires to provide the kind of care every one of us would wish loved ones to receive. The group operates 41 nursing and care homes and plans to open a further three homes in 2022. It remains a family-run business to this day, with the company philosophy “Our family caring for yours” at the heart of every home.

Walberton Place Care Home

from Mark V (Son of Resident) published on 2 October 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mum went to the care home for 8 weeks of recuperation. On entering the home she was in a mentally bad place. The carers and management took time to get to know mum and her exact needs. Within 2 weeks mum was making great progress in regaining her confidence and recovery from a severe UTI. The peaceful
and relaxing surroundings made a huge difference and supported mum's recovery. Mum returned home recently and the care home and staff made this a reality by treating mum with care and dignity at all times. Thank you so much you gave me and my family our mum, nan and great grandma back

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
When visiting Shenstone Court we are usually greeted warmly by your friendly, efficient receptionist who seems to know and genuinely care for all the residents and their visitors. The care staff are always attentive, kind, and patient, and nothing is ever too much trouble. They take the time to get
to know the residents, ensuring everyone feels valued, comfortable, and well looked after at all times. Importantly, they are always approachable and open to any questions or concerns.
The home itself has a very relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and is always spotless, tidy, and well-maintained.
The meals provided are well-prepared and well presented. It's good to see residents enjoying their food, with menus that cater to different tastes.
The home ensures that the residents are stimulated and encourage them to join in with the activities provided, including trips.
I would recommend Shenstone Court to anyone looking for a safe and supportive environment for their loved one.

In the time that Mum has been at Tallington Lodge, she has blossomed. It is not unusual for her to enjoy a joke or even a little sing song with the team which has brought a smile back to her face. Every physical need is taken care of and the genuine interactions with all staff have enabled Mum to enjoy
a quality of life we were unable to provide for her in her own home. We know that Mum receives quality care day and night and that she is safe. We couldn't ask for more. Thank you.

Summer Lane Care & Nursing Home

from F M (Daughter of Resident) published on 30 September 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
After looking at several other care homes , as soon as I arrived at Summer Lane I knew this was the place for our Mum. It is beautiful. It smells fresh and is immaculately clean. The staff are so kind and attentive , the nurses are professional and thorough. Mum was able to have her hair done in the
hairdresser and entertain her guests in the gorgeous lounges and cafe. From the laundry staff and admin staff and cleaning staff , Summer lane runs smoothly and calmly - exactly what is needed for someone who has had to move from their own home especially for our Mum with dementia. I always felt so welcome whenever I visited no matter what time of day or evening. Any concerns or questions were dealt with immediately. Our mum went back there after a short stay in hospital to spend her remaining days . She was so relieved to be back in her room with familiar staff. Thank you all for making the final months of her life so special .

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review, especially at this sad time. Pemberley Manor Care Home

from Stuart S (Son of Resident) published on 29 September 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum stayed at Pemberley Manor Care Home for two weeks of respite care and we were really impressed. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, which made her feel very welcome. The rooms are lovely, (more like a hotel than a care home), and she really enjoyed the food. Everywhere is spotless
and there's a beautiful garden to sit in. When mum was poorly, the team went above and beyond to make sure she got the medical care she needed. Mum had a great experience and we'd happily recommend Pemberley Manor.
Reply from Lauren Digby, Customer Relations Manager at Pemberley Manor Care Home

Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience of your mum's stay at Pemberley Manor. We're absolutely delighted to hear that she felt welcome and well cared for during her respite stay. It means a great deal to the whole team to know that our efforts made a positive difference, especially during the times she was feeling unwell. Ensuring our residents feel supported, safe, and comfortable is at the heart of everything we do. We're also so pleased that you enjoyed the environment, from the hotel style rooms to the garden and food, we work hard to create a home from home atmosphere, so it's lovely to hear that this came across. Thank you again for your recommendation, it truly means a lot.

Abbey Grange Care & Nursing Home

from Mark H (Son-in-law of Resident) published on 29 September 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 1.0 out of 5
My father in-law had the misfortune to experience this care home. I wont go into great detail, i've seen replies to other negative reviews where the management suggest contacting them to discuss the issues. I discussed the issues while my father-in-law was in the home, repeatedly and they were not
addressed. These carers who we are expected to put on a pedestal fir their efforts ( at this home st least) manage to sit outside 2 sometimes 3 times an hour for a cigarette. When it came to caring gir my father in-law I can only say in my opinion that the staff were happy to convince you they had heard your requests but never once acted upon them. The nurse who was sent to answer our medical concerns did not have good enough english language skills to explain how much fluid he had drank. If she didn't like the question she rolled her eyes and pretended not to understand. I could go on and on but the gist of this feedback is, please find another facility for your loved one.
Reply from Kerry Peach, Home Manager at Abbey Grange Care & Nursing Home

We appreciate your feedback and take your concerns very seriously, and we are very sorry to hear that your father-in-laws experience did not meet expectations. The well-being and dignity of our residents are always our top priority, and we take concerns such as yours extremely seriously. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further with you so we can fully understand your concerns and take appropriate action. Please contact our home directly should you wish to discuss this further.

My grandad came to Castor Lodge at first as respite having had a number of falls at home. The welcome at the home was brilliant and helped transition him to become a full time resident. It was the right time as grandad could no longer live safely in his own home. Grandad has settled in well through
caring staff and a great community feel that seen him make new friends around him and a created a strong sense of belonging in a cracking environment. I would fully recommend Castor Lodge it's professional welcoming kind and has strong community spirit.

The facilities are clean, comfortable and well maintained, making it a safe and pleasant place to live. Residents receive personalised care tailored to their needs, which truely
shows the dedication of the team. Overall, this care home provides outstanding support and feels like a community. Highly recommend!

Somerset House Care & Nursing Home

The staff at Somerset are a caring, kind and an attentive top down team. They are friendly,
open and welcoming each time I visit. They are interested in each of the residents and ask great questions to find the best ways of supporting people.... they even made welsh cakes for my mother on discovering
she was welsh and liked them... huge thank you for that.

Whilst there are areas of Somerset which might look a little tired, they are going through a huge programme of updating. My mums room is one of the new ones and it is fabulous, light and airy with an en suite bathroom which is perfect for her needs.

They have been very supportive of my mum, as it has taken a while for her to settle in the new environment and they understand the needs and challenges of people with dementia.

Thank you for all that you have done

I cannot fault the care, attention and compassion that my late husband received when he was at Fernleigh Court. He was so content during his stay. The facilities for residents are amazing and the families of residents are treated so well. We were kept up to date with any information regarding my late
husband and were always pro-active with any medical treatment that he needed.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the Fernleigh Court staff and would wholeheartedly recommend this care/nursing home.

I normally visit twice a week and see care and compassion from all staff.
I am contacted and consulted regarding any issue that may occur.
I have confidence that mum is cared for in an appropriate manner, she is kept safe warm and tended too, with requests made for my feedback on a regular basis.
It
was sad when my mum was unable to care for herself but she's happy/safe and looked after at Marlin Court.

Birkin Lodge Care & Nursing Home

My beloved grandmother recently came to live at Birkin Lodge, I was very impressed with the friendly staff, the fact that we are allowed to visit at anytime and the fun activities that were put on everyday - which we were able to join in with. We had food tasting, fun facts, quizzes, a BBQ in the garden,
general fun. My grandmother, whom is over 100 years old is enjoying her stay immensely - especially the food which I have to say looks top notch. The thing that has most struck me is the fact that everyone goes beyond and above to make their residents and guests welcome, it really is a home from home, I cannot recommend this place enough!

We have just celebrated our mum's birthday in Lakeview and can't thank the staff enough for making her day special.
We decided to use the family room and ordered lunch for all the family. It was so lovely to sit around the table as a family. A delicious roast dinner and dessert was followed by a huge
cake. We could wander around the garden, take some photos and enjoy just relaxing together. Thank you so much Lakeview.

The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The care my aunt receives is excellent. The building and decor is similar to a hotel and is very well maintained. The staff have been supportive and caring to the whole family while my aunt goes through a difficult phase of her life.
