The staff went above & beyond with my dad, making sure all his needs were met & keeping him safe.
Communication with myself from staff was extremely effective.
Staff would regularly tell me how my dad had made them laugh.
Sadly, my dad passed away towards the end of April but I found great comfort knowing his final days were spent at Belmont, where he was extremely well looked after during his end of life care. The staff were also so caring towards me & displayed such empathy.

My mother receives very good care. Still reasonably sound of mind she informs me that the staff respond very quickly when required and that she is happy at Belmont House. When Dad is ill and/or needs medical care, they act immediately and provide better care than the local hospital. Medication is monitored and checked along with his swallowing ability and physical requirements.
It was the hardest decision ever to moving Dad to care however, it has turned out to be the best decision I have ever made.
Thank you

I have my mum and dad in Belmont House Care & Nursing Home and all the time they have been there, they are treated with utmost respect and care by the staff. The staff always seem on hand and never far away to assist any of the residents with their daily requirements. Family and friends visiting are always welcomed, even if you turn up at a busy period such as meal times. The bedroom and living areas always appear very clean and tidy. My mum is well cared for and her needs are well taken care of. Communication is very good and I am kept informed of any changes with mum. Kindness and dignity to residents is shown and staff are approachable for any concerns or questions I have. Domestic staff work hard to keep the home clean.

When Mum moved into Belmont House she started eating again. She is given food that she can eat with her fingers as she now struggles to use a knife and fork. She now has a good appetite and has gained weight. Her medication is given covertly so she is no longer getting the symptoms she had due to not taking her tablets. All of the staff there are wonderful. They treat Mum with dignity and she is very settled and happy. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I am always kept in the loop if there is a problem. I could not be happier with Mum's care.

My mum originally came to Belmont House Care and Nursing Home for respite and has just become a permanent resident. The change in my mum since moving in has been incredible. After a horrible year of ill health and long hospital stays, she is mentally and physically healthier than she has been in a long time. I have previously worked in care homes and have seen good and bad, but at Belmont House Care and Nursing Home the staff genuinely care, the compassion and patience I have seen with my mum and other residents has been heartwarming and touching to see. Living far away from mum I feel completely reassured that she can now live her best life fully supported by amazing people. Thank you so much for everything Belmont House Care and Nursing Home.

Thank you for leaving a review for Belmont House Care & Nursing Home, we are delighted to hear how pleased you are with our care of your loved one.
Through my work, I have visited several care homes, and Belmont stands out above them in the quality of dementia care.
The residents have a variety of activities and entertainment, which are much enjoyed.
It is good and reassuring to have social media pages where residents can be seen to be happy and participating.
The “good” overall rating is because of the physical environment/accommodation, which is quite cramped.
If rating the quality of care only, it would be a clear “excellent”.
