Everyone at the care home is friendly and always on hand for any queries or problems. My uncle has settled in very well. The nurses are very attentive and inform me of any problems or just to ask if a certain treatment is ok to do. I'm very pleased with how my uncle has been looked after and would recommend this care home to others.

Summer Lane cared for mum for nearly 3 years at the end of life. She was looked after with compassion, dedication and kindness by carers, nurses, reception, cafe and all of the support staff. Summer Lane provided a clean and comfortable environment for Mum. There was a cheerful and positive atmosphere.

My mum feels very much cared for. All the staff are kind and caring. The facilities are excellent and as a family we all enjoy the coffee shop with an excellent choice of homemade cakes. The cleanliness of the home is superb, nothing is too much trouble. The management and admin team are so approachable and quickly sort any problems. All I can say I have been delighted with my mum's care.

After looking at several other care homes , as soon as I arrived at Summer Lane I knew this was the place for our Mum. It is beautiful. It smells fresh and is immaculately clean. The staff are so kind and attentive , the nurses are professional and thorough. Mum was able to have her hair done in the hairdresser and entertain her guests in the gorgeous lounges and cafe. From the laundry staff and admin staff and cleaning staff , Summer lane runs smoothly and calmly - exactly what is needed for someone who has had to move from their own home especially for our Mum with dementia. I always felt so welcome whenever I visited no matter what time of day or evening. Any concerns or questions were dealt with immediately. Our mum went back there after a short stay in hospital to spend her remaining days . She was so relieved to be back in her room with familiar staff. Thank you all for making the final months of her life so special .
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review, especially at this sad time. We are very impressed with my mum's care at Summer Lane Care Home, nursing and facilities are also excellent. Mum is enjoying her stay at Summer Lane. Enjoys the coffee shop and socially with her co friends at the care home. Mum has dementia and is coming to terms with this is her new home. The staff have been excellent. We have requested for mum to change rooms when available having garden access which benefit her wellbeing. Currently she not able to open her door to the garden because there's no security to stop mum leaving the care home (overlooking the garden)
Thank you for your kind review of Summer Lane Care & Nursing Home. We're glad your mum is comfortable and enjoying the facilities we have to offer. If you have any further concerns or queries, please don't hesitate to speak with our home manager on 01934 529 190.
I have been a permanent resident at Summer Lane Care Home since 2022. In that time I have found the staff here take their duties seriously at all levels. The carers complete their work cheerfully and well. The receptionists are welcoming and answer queries willingly. The catering staff will provide whatever the residents request within reason. The rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard. Visiting families have the use of the coffee shop and courtyard. Minibus outings are arranged by the activities team. Whatever level of care is needed it is well catered for.
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review. We love having you here and are so happy that you feel that everything you and our other residents need is covered to a high standard. I will pass on your kind comments to my staff.
Friendly and helpful. My friend is well looked after.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, its always good to know family and friends find our staff friendly and helpful and that your friend is well looked after.
After visiting various nursing homes in the area my son & myself were told about Summer Lane by a friend. We visited, what a difference. The reception area and receptionist were extremely helpful. We were shown round and what a difference. The care nurses were all enthusiastic about the residence. The decor in the bedrooms, lounges etc was immaculate. We did not hesitate putting my wife in the care of all concerned. Many Thanks.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a lovely review and we know from our conversations that your wife has settled in extremely well and is very happy.
My wife became resident at Summer Lane Care home in late 2022. From the beginning she was treated with care, thought and love helping her to settle quickly to her new life. Carers helped with her personal hygiene without compromising her dignity, ensuring she is dressed in clean clothes and if they become soiled, to change them in a matter of minutes. The activities co-ordinators are quick to find new things to keep minds and bodies active to enhance the quality of life. The food is good, nutritious and presented well. The nurses provide medical cover in an efficient way but when the alarm goes off, they act with speed, to see none of those under their care are in danger, or if need be, to take action as appropriate. Staff are approachable and would rather resolve issues as they occur than allow them to fester. Regular meetings are held between all parties to report on issues regarding the home, to hear ideas, and clear issues which remain unresolved. A very good home I commend it.
Thank you so much for your lovely review and we are very happy that you are pleased with our home and the care your wife is receiving, we are very glad you feel this is the right place for her.

My husband was in Summer Lane for end of life care. It is an amazing place. It is really clean and welcoming. All of the staff are very friendly and kind. The rooms are immaculate. They have en-suite's and really nice furniture in them . The facilities are great including a hair salon and a nail bar. It was a shame my husband had not gone in earlier, when he was not so ill. You walk in to reception, and it is like a hotel, the receptionists are all really friendly. Then you meet the nurses and the caregivers and they all acknowledge you and make you feel special. The gardens are really pretty. All together this is a really lovely Care home. The manager should be very proud of himself and all of his staff. A pleasure to have been able to visit my husband there , knowing he was being well looked after and cared for. I am so grateful My husband spent his last days there Thank you all

The meals provided looked very appetising, sadly because of mum's condition she wasn't up to eating very much but what we saw the menu and saw Mum eat a little of the cuisine served, we were very happy with the food provided
