Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. The Senior Care Assistant will also be responsible for supervising junior staff and assisting with care plans, making effective communication and leadership skills essential.
Duties:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Implement and monitor individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and training as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss resident care and contribute ideas for improving services.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within the care home environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents and families compassionately.
- Leadership qualities with experience in supervising or mentoring staff members.
- Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation related to resident care.
- A genuine passion for working with seniors and enhancing their quality of life is essential.
