Concierge

At Black Swan Care Group, we are currently looking for a concierge to work in one of our residential care facilities, Kings Lynn on a part time, 30 hour, permanent contract, £12.60 per hour.

This position will include working every other weekend.

Kings Lynn residential care home sits on Kettlewell Lane close to the centre of King’s Lynn in West Norfolk. The home provides short-term, respite care and longer term support for up to 41 residents, including people living with dementia.

Purpose of Position:

  • To act as the first point of contact between visitors and the home.
  • To answer visitor enquiries face to face, by telephone, referring to the Manager where needed.
  • To familiarise themselves with regular visits and their requirements.
  • To help in the care of the Residents' physical environment and in the general day to day activities of the Home.
  • Communicating with family members, providing updates, and addressing concerns to ensure peace of mind.

Responsibilities of a Concierge:

  • Answer the doorbell and the telephone.
  • Greet visitors, offering sign in facility, time and refreshments when able.
  • Seek feedback from all visitors to the home and refer any concerns to the Manager.
  • Oversee deliveries and signing of packages received by the home.
  • Read and write reports; take part in staff and Residents' meetings, Shift Handovers and in training activities as directed.
  • Ensuring communal areas remain clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Reporting maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department.
