Kings Lynn Residential Home

I am very pleased to complete this short review and express our gratitude for the wonderful care that was provided for my father at Kings Lynn Residential during his stay in 2026. We knew from a previous experience of this care home that my dad, Austin, would be looked after with great professionalism, warmth, compassion, respect and dignity and this is exactly what was provided. Right from the start, everyone involved in looking after him worked tirelessly to ensure he was safe and well cared for and there was not one single aspect of his care that fell short of anything other than perfect. This care and support also extended beyond Austin to us, his family and friends, whether it be on the phone or when we visited, there was always a friendly greeting from all the staff and the welcome offer of a cup of tea. We were all looked after very well. I must mention the great support given to us by the management team who consulted with us at all times as dad's needs evolved. Thankyou.

I have been very impressed with the friendliness, care, professionalism of all the staff I have encountered. I enjoyed lunch each day with my mother which was an unexpected delight. Thankyou all for looking after my mother,

The overall experience with the care home is very good, and most of all my mother approves, the staff are excellent and can't do enough for her and the family, thank you all so much.you have all made a worrying time for me and my brother so easy,we do appreciate it.

The staff have made me feel very welcome when I have come to visit my dad. I can see that he is well looked after. Staff are kind to residents and provide opportunities for people to go out and visit places in addition to the care they need within the home which I know my father has appreciated. The garden in the middle of the home is a good place for my dad to get some exercise and I know it is well used by other residents when events are held. The eating areas and corridors have been clean when I have visited and I know that Dad's laundry is cleaned regularly. I think my father's room is on the small side but there is a sink and toilet and room for clothes. My father chose to have a bookcase in his room instead of a bed because he sleeps in a chair and wanted storage for his books. I feel that there is not much storage when a bed is also in the room. However, this is more than made up for by the kindness and compassion of the staff. I feel that my dad is safe and comfortable.

Our mum Patty, was requiring Respite care, due to declining health and not able to look after herself). The Manager Jodi kindly assessed Mum and accepted her into their lovely, warm friendly Care Home. At short notice. We as a family would like to thank everyone for the wonderful care Mum received. The improvement in Mums wellbeing has been amazing Thank you Jodi, Sally and all your wonderful team

From the leadership onsite to the care givers and ancillary staff at the home, I can not fault the loving care and kindness that my mother is continuing to receive. Communication and respectful care are key factors in the ongoing care cycle and this home manages that very well. This communication and kindness extends to me and a welcoming greeting makes all the difference to my visits. Thank you.

The care they show my mother who has dementia, was paralysed by covid, is registered blind and is fairly deaf is outstanding.

Fantastic staff. They all care for the people they are looking after, no one is too busy when you ask for help in any way. Respect is given all the time. Meals are wonderful, my mum is now eating and enjoying food again. Everyone is welcoming no matter what time you visit. Nothing seems to be too much trouble, whatever you ask for is dealt with straightaway. Can't fault it at all.

From the minute you walk through the door staff are very pleasant. The care home is always clean and welcoming, there are so many different activities for the residents.

Everything seems to be kept clean and tidy at all times, staff always say hello with a smile.

Wonderful care home. All staff treat mum like their own family. Nothing is too much effort. Courteous and polite. On numerous times i have asked for things and they always do it, no fuss. I feel they are an extended family, always greet me when i arrive by my first name.Highly recommended. Thank you

I would like to express my gratitude to the team at Kings Lynn Residential. They are friendly, caring & always willing to listen & support. They have shown respect & thoughtfulness to our family member & ourselves. They have ensured he is settled & shown compassion & dedication to him. If we have any queries/concerns surrounding his care, the team will always endeavour to resolve. When we visit, we always see staff interacting with residents in communal areas, activities taking place & a genuine engagement with the residents. There is a variety of meals on offer & staff are happy to accommodate residents' dietary requests & needs. I would recommend Kings Lynn Residential & would like to thank both the management team & all the staff who work there. They have ensured our family member feels at home, treating him in a dignified manner, & ensuring he is well looked after & settled.

I'm very pleased with the care and attention my sister receives from all of the staff. She has just celebrated her 90th birthday, and the love and attention she received on the day were exceptional. The staff laid out a lovely afternoon tea for the family, which we all enjoyed. Thank you.

After my Aunt had experienced two previous care homes where they were happy to leave the residents couped up in their rooms all day, with minimal care from often inexperienced agency staff, it was so refreshing to enter her into what I would call a proper care home. From the moment of the initial interview, to her entering the home, the care and individual attention has been second to none. When you enter the home, everyone from reception and the care staff, the management and even the maintenance man, all have a smile and politeness, welcoming residents and visitors alike and offer their assistance. Really pleased that the residents are encouraged to leave their rooms to socialise and to get much needed exercise and stimulation. After being in Black Swan for less than one month, my Aunt has already had a proper organised social trip out, this never happed at her previous homes and is essential for her wellbeing and health. Fantastic start to real care in a home my Aunt deserves.

What a lovely place for the residents. All staff were really attentive and couldn't do enough for us. A very pleasant experience, clean, friendly and a lovely birthday party with lovely food. The entertainment lady was exceptionally good.
