I recently visited my aunty and was so impressed with how lovely and welcoming the care home was. Everything was beautifully clean and well looked after, and there was such a warm, homely atmosphere.

The staff were all incredibly friendly and took the time to come over, say hello and have a conversation, which I thought was really lovely. Nothing felt rushed, and you could genuinely see how caring and attentive everyone was.

It had a real home-from-home feel, and it was clear to see that the residents are very well cared for. It's so reassuring knowing that my aunty is in such a lovely, friendly and caring environment.

A huge thank you to all the staff for everything you do.

Mum has been here now over three years , sometimes she really has been a challenge for all staff but I've seen them every day making sure all is fine and tending to mums needs, every member of staff I can say go above and beyond to make sure needs are met and residents are happy , the management of the house shows true concern and care for all residents I personally cannot fault valentine house

Valentine house has been an amazing support to my mum who resides there and also to me.
I cannot thank them enough, settling mum, caring for her and offering companionship. They have ensured mum has the medical engagements/attention where necessary, helping me navigate the complex, correct nhs services.
The home is warm, welcoming with activities and celebrations. The summer BBQ is truly a memory making day.

Many thanks to the outstanding manager, care staff and super entertainment team.

My dad was becoming unsafe at home due to his dementia. Although the decision to move my dad in a home was the most difficult decision I have ever had to make, I can honestly say, that I feel part of a wider family within the home, my dad is very well looked after and is able to play his Dementia out in a safe and supportive way.

We feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to have this home as a choice.

My aunt has been resident since 2020 (now age 98) she is well cared for, staff professional and friendly. I suggest background soothing music of their era, instead of TV, as I have observed that residents don't concentrate, but seem to enjoy live entertainment.-thank you. I realise grazing platters are practical, just need prompting and supervision with hot drinks, rely on nurses observing as no access to call bells when in lounge. I had suggested headphones, but don't think my aunt would tolerate them now possibly audio books, photos of local area on walls.

My mum has been in Spring Lodge for 9 months now, and on 3rd August she reached 100 years. I can't say thank you enough for the fabulous outdoor party they arranged for her. We had a really lovely day with a garden party for family and residnets. So much effort went into it by staff with catering, decorations, flowers, singers, barbecue, ice cream van! music, cake, presents, cards. I was overwhelmed by the kindness of all.

Overall Experience
I've been up visiting mum and have taken her out twice.
The staff have been friendly and super helpful. Always a smile and a positive attitude.
Mum has blossomed and is no longer spending her days alone.
I feel so much happier knowing mum is cared for.

Overall Experience

We have been very impressed with all aspects of The Lodge. The staff are kind and attentive, the activities are frequent and varied and the food is exceptional. The rooms are well decorated and clean with plenty of room to store residents' possessions. Our mother has settled well and now enjoys engaging with the staff and activities. There is a well kept garden for the residents to sit in in good weather and the home is able to host parties and other events there. All the other relatives I have spoken to are very pleased with their experience of The Lodge
