Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I would like to express my gratitude to the team at Kings Lynn Residential. They are friendly, caring & always willing to listen & support. They have shown respect & thoughtfulness to our family member & ourselves. They have ensured he is settled & shown compassion & dedication to him. If we have any
queries/concerns surrounding his care, the team will always endeavour to resolve. When we visit, we always see staff interacting with residents in communal areas, activities taking place & a genuine engagement with the residents. There is a variety of meals on offer & staff are happy to accommodate residents' dietary requests & needs. I would recommend Kings Lynn Residential & would like to thank both the management team & all the staff who work there. They have ensured our family member feels at home, treating him in a dignified manner, & ensuring he is well looked after & settled.

My mother has been living at Park House for just over two months and has been made to feel very welcome. The staff are cheerful and caring. My mother enjoys joining in with the many activities on offer. The garden areas are very pleasant when the weather is good and the conservatory is a nice place

A great care home. Lovely staff, well run. Great food. Lovely activities. If you are considering a care home for a relative, don't hesitate in choosing this one. We looked at several in the area, large soulless ones which looked great but seemed empty. However chiswick house was our choice as it feels
more homely. Rooms are kept clean, issues are resolved, staff are lovely and genuinely care. We visit 3/4 times a week so see the care home operating throughout the week. A great care home. Thanks to all the staff.

Beccles Care Home

from Jonathan C (Son of Resident) published on 24 October 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My father has Alzheimer's Disease and was in two other care settings before coming here, and neither managed to meet his needs - in fact, one even described him as a "nuisance," which was deeply upsetting and inappropriate for a place claiming dementia expertise. We were at a total loss and my mother
was also becoming very ill from the stress.
From the moment Dad moved into Beccles, the manager and staff showed compassion, understanding, and genuine care. They treat him with dignity and patience, taking the time to get to know his personality rather than just his condition. The support is excellent. The communication with families is also excellent, and it's clear that everyone there truly wants the best for the residents. (There are always lovely activities happening when I visit.)
It has been such a huge relief to know he's finally in capable, caring hands. I can't thank the team at Beccles Care Home enough for giving my dad the quality of life and respect he deserves

From the minute we walked through the door we knew this was the best place for my auntie. Every member of staff welcomed her by name. She has been treated with dignity and respect. Staff are cheerful and happy and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble for them. Our family were made to feel incredibly
welcome and were offered tea and lunch. The room is bright, airy, clean and comfortable which a much need ensuite. There is so much attention to detail, helped by the entry questionairre, which allowed my auntie some of her regular routines e.g cup of bedtime hot drink and Saturday newspaper. Even the carer helping to shower auntie made sure the floor was dry after 10/10

My mother has been a resident of Laurel Lodge for over seven years now. In all that time the care she has received from the team at Laurel Lodge has been impeccable.
Mum has a lovely room opening on to the garden. Her room is kept clean and tidy at all times. She also enjoys a lot of interaction with

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
After my Aunt had experienced two previous care homes where they were happy to leave the residents couped up in their rooms all day, with minimal care from often inexperienced agency staff, it was so refreshing to enter her into what I would call a proper care home. From the moment of the initial interview,
to her entering the home, the care and individual attention has been second to none. When you enter the home, everyone from reception and the care staff, the management and even the maintenance man, all have a smile and politeness, welcoming residents and visitors alike and offer their assistance. Really pleased that the residents are encouraged to leave their rooms to socialise and to get much needed exercise and stimulation. After being in Black Swan for less than one month, my Aunt has already had a proper organised social trip out, this never happed at her previous homes and is essential for her wellbeing and health. Fantastic start to real care in a home my Aunt deserves.

My dad has now been in the Gables for almost a month, I have found the care home very helpful in every aspect from the initial care to his arrival at the home was very stress free. He was getting more and more frail living on his own and then a 2 weeks in hospital, and now he has settled into his new
life, room and the routine of the home. He is happy and there is a lot of activities for him to join in with. I am very happy with his care and staff are wonderful.

Mum came to The Haven following a fall, initially for respite care. She has recently returned after a hospital admission - her pleasure being back at The Haven was both obvious and a delight to see. The staff are super friendly and caring, and make every visit a pleasure.
