Mum came to Spring Lodge when she was no longer safe at home. The experience of putting her into a home was an emotional one for both of us. The manager has excellent rapport with residents and relatives and I feel assured that mum is cared for with kindness and dignity. I visit most days and observe
much kindness and care for residents from staff. The home is warm, very clean and comfortable. All staff are caring and friendly, they engage with residents and reassure them. The meals are cooked on the premises and of good quality, home made cakes appears every day at tea time. There are some activities bingo, dominos and crafts. The Christmas party was lovely. Health issues are quickly addressed and I am informed of all changes.

The welcome I received on visiting my mother was exemplary. All the staff were helpful in answering my questions. The room my mother has is light and airy, beautifully furnished and made her feel at home. She hasn't been here long but is so happy and is well looked after. I am so glad that I chose The
Lodge. The food is variable for choice and is a lovely menu. Nothing is too much trouble for any staff member.

My mother was lovingly looked after by the team at the Lodge for the last few years of her life until she died when 98 years old. Some of the carers treated her as if she was their own mother.
They knew what food she was able to eat and nothing was too much trouble for Jung the cook to serve mum
the food she liked. Many of the staff did all they could to help her with her meal times when eating became difficult for her.
They were very gentle and caring , and she appreciated very much the way Regina cut her finger nails.
The atmosphere in the home was so peaceful, the family were always made welcome whenever we visited and served tea and biscuits .

Mum was a full time resident for around 15 months following a fall and loss of mobility. She had been an occasional resident for several years before. We visited without prior notice once or twice a month and invariably found her well presented, warm and content. The staff were unfailingly attentive
to her, being alert to her declining faculties. The care and genuine affection shown towards her was most reassuring.

As a friend of someone who lives here, I've always been really impressed with how caring and kind everyone is. Every time I visit, I'm made to feel welcome, and there's such a warm, friendly atmosphere throughout the home.

The staff are lovely, always smiling, and genuinely care about the people

they look after. The place is always clean and comfortable, and it really feels more like a community than a care home. It's very reassuring to see how well everyone is treated.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this care home. A big thank you to all the staff for everything you do - it really shows

We visit one a month roughly as we do not live near. It's a lovely place & my mother-in-law is very happy. The staff appear wonderful with the residents always appearing well cared for and happy. Having worked as a nurse in a care home, I feel I can happily say The Lodge is excellent.

Lovely home and excellent staff can't do enough for mum or any of the family. Nice to know that mum is comfortable and happy where she is and has been for as long as she has been here. Big shout out to the chef as the food is exceptional, I could keep on going but I'm going to keep it short and sweet
- I think that this home must be the best around and has been for a long while.

I was at The Lodge for 2 weeks respite recently. I have to say that I found the experience excellent. The staff were all without exception wonderfully helpful, kind and caring and fun. The building was spotlessly clean and well decorated. My bedroom was very comfortable. Most of the residents seem
to be very happy. The entertainment was good fun and food very nice. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Lodge.

My mother has resided at The Lodge for nearly 2 years. During this time we have always found the level of care to be of a very high level. All of the staff go above and beyond to provide a happy and relaxed environment for both residents and their families and visitors. Cleanliness is always to a very
high standard and the menu choice and quality of food is very impressive. Entertainment and activities provided are varied and imaginative. The staff deserve to be commended for providing a comfortable and caring home.

Maitland House is not just a care home it is a "HOME" all residents and staff part of one big family. From day one I have always received a very warm welcome, and more so in the last few weeks when my mother in law was on palliative care. The staff were brilliant in looking after her, but also family
and friends when we visited, the staff taking time to check we were ok making us endless cups of tea, and spent time to talk and listen to us. We left each time knowing she was being well cared for, and her final wishes were being carried out that she was able to die peacefully, and with dignity at Maitland House. A great comfort to us.

Mum has lived at The Lodge for 3 years, and during the time she has always been happy and contented. The dedication by staff ensures she always receives the best of care and attention. No effort was spared by staff to give her a lovely Birthday party last month, and it gives me a chance to spend some
precious time with her.
