I have been coming to visit a friend for almost a year. I am so impressed with everything I have seen. The staff are so friendly very kind to all the residents and very aware of all their personalities and of their problems The food is wonderful and the chef is always being praised.

If I ever need a care home, this is one I would choose

We have been so pleased with the care Dad received at Maitland House. Every aspect of the care we hoped for was provided and more. Dad quickly settled, thanks to the family atmosphere, amazing carers and professionally organised home. It was so heart warming to see how Dad's comfort and wellbeing were so important to every member of staff and to see that he was valued as a member of the Maitland family. Dad has now sadly passed, but his passing was managed with such care and dignity and with such kind support for us, for which we will always be so grateful.

My mother needed emergency respite care and I can honestly say this home has built her up and givenher purpose to continue. I can't thank the staff enough for all their help and patience with my 90-year-old mother.

Maitland House is not just a care home it is a "HOME" all residents and staff part of one big family. From day one I have always received a very warm welcome, and more so in the last few weeks when my mother in law was on palliative care. The staff were brilliant in looking after her, but also family and friends when we visited, the staff taking time to check we were ok making us endless cups of tea, and spent time to talk and listen to us. We left each time knowing she was being well cared for, and her final wishes were being carried out that she was able to die peacefully, and with dignity at Maitland House. A great comfort to us.

My mother has improved enormously since arriving at the Maitland. She is now walking about with a frame after being stuck in a wheelchair. There are plenty of activities on offer and mum has enjoyed a couple on outings. Staff are always approachable and helpful. Room lovely just slightly small.

Visiting my aunt, very happy to see how happy she is here and how lovely her room is with so many photos of family. We were greeted by one of the staff and taken to my aunt in the lounge and then brought into her room. We met the lovely head housekeeper who was friendly and charming. We are so reassured that my aunt is receiving the best care and attention. Looking forward to visiting again.

Can I say, what an absolutely wonderful Care Home, from the manager through all the staff, chef, laundry lady and handyman, nothing is too much trouble. These people go above and beyond to make residents and family members feel so very welcome. This home is bright, clean, smells fresh and is so welcoming.
It has a homely vibe going on. The manager is always available to quell any worries you may have. I would recommend it to all.
Pay a visit and see for yourself.

After 2 weeks of respite, my great-friend decided to return permanently.

The team at Maitlands is above exceptional they helped me and my Mum at a very vulnerable time. I will never be able to show them how grateful I am for their love, and support, unfortunately with Mum's dementia. She can't stay at the home which is heartbreaking. Anyone who has the privilege of having a retirement there is very lucky. Well done team, you are all amazing!

My husband was discharged from the hospital to Maitland House in May. We were very pleased as we had both been there before for "respite care". The care he received was very caring, and as his health deteriorated, he was constantly given loving and dignified care. We also received the same wonderful attention and care when visiting. His final hours were very respectful.

This care home is amazing. The staff are so kind and so thoughtful. The food is lovely. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There are great activities. Overall, a lovely atmosphere. My mother-in-law spent 2 weeks respite here and she was so upset at having to go to a home but she was made to feel so welcome and so cared for. They diagnosed cellulitis in her leg and immediately sorted help.mCan’t fault them and I only have great things to say about them. Thank you.
