Spring Lodge

Joan Boughtwood, partner of W. Taylor during the time Bill has been in the care home he has received excellent care and assistance from your excellent staff, very helpful, kind and very nice so much nicer than the previous home.

My mum has been in Spring Lodge for 9 months now, and on 3rd August she reached 100 years. I can't say thank you enough for the fabulous outdoor party they arranged for her. We had a really lovely day with a garden party for family and residnets. So much effort went into it by staff with catering, decorations, flowers, singers, barbecue, ice cream van! music, cake, presents, cards. I was overwhelmed by the kindness of all.

My friend has been a resident of Spring Lodge for several months now and I visit at least once a week. From day one I have been impressed by the property, rooms, food and most of all the management and staff. There is a wonderful welcoming and caring atmosphere; it is spotlessly clean and very well decorated and furnished. It feels more like a lovely guesthouse than a care home. I have visited many care homes in the past couple of years and this is by far the best. I can pay no greater compliment than I would be happy to be a resident when the time comes. Well done everyone. Top marks and keep up the excellent work.

As a friend of someone who lives here, I've always been really impressed with how caring and kind everyone is. Every time I visit, I'm made to feel welcome, and there's such a warm, friendly atmosphere throughout the home.

The staff are lovely, always smiling, and genuinely care about the people they look after. The place is always clean and comfortable, and it really feels more like a community than a care home. It's very reassuring to see how well everyone is treated.

Mother has been a resident for over six years she has received excellent care with stimulation activities. The food is very good and occasionally there a party's for residents and families which are outstanding. Thinking of booking myself in early.

My Dad has been at the care home for 2 weeks. They have been there for him and made him feel very welcome and he has settled and accepts this is his home. Not only have the staff been very kind and adapted to Dad's needs but the manager has also been involved with his care and needs, they have always been there for up-dates and talk about anything and everything and Dad is always included and feels comfortable chatting and talking about things as well. Thank you. I would like to add that my dad is not keen on activities but always offered but make time for one-to-one chats that he loves.

Also, the gardens are lovely and we can take mum outside to enjoy the pretty flowers, trees and gardens. Thank you.

The home is always very clean and welcoming and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. Would recommend this home to my friends.

As previously mentioned, my mother, now 97, was always very independent and followed a strict daily routine and has found it difficult to sometimes adapt, and now her eyesight, hearing and mobility are deteriorating, she finds socialising harder. The staff have been very kind and caring towards her and keeping me informed of any problems that have arisen. She seems to have settled now and although she does not join in many activities, she is looking forward to Christmas there.

My mother-in-law is happy to spend short spells of time in Spring Lodge whilst we have a holiday. She seems to enjoy the company and change of scenery. She says all the staff are very kind and helpful. It's lovely that whilst she has a stay she can have supported baths which she is unable to do in our house.

Very happy with the care provided to my dad, also all residents always look clean and tidy and treated with respect.

Everyone is very helpful and polite to the visiting family.

My grandmother has been staying here for several years. She is well looked after and goes to lots of events and celebrations. She likes the staff and food, and it's very quiet and relaxed.

Food and drink are excellent.

Came to visit my sister, residents were having lunch at the time. All the staff were very busy serving meals etc. All the residents appeared happy and some said hello to me. The dining room was very clean, staff all had masks and aprons on. I took my sister out for dinner and on return, the staff were very pleasant, but again quite busy dealing with residents. Spring Lodge is a lovely, clean non-smelly care home!

My mother has been a resident since June 2021. The care and support she receives are exceptional. She is 102 and has thrived since her occupancy due to the special attention and empathy given by the management and carers. Please make it known to your management and carers that myself and family want to express our heartfelt thanks for making my mother so happy.

From initial enquiry to departure, our parents were treated with respect and excellent care. The home was relaxed, clean and tidy and well run. The team were kind and thoughtful all the time, nothing was too much trouble. A great place to stay, and would not hesitate for my parents to stay again. In particular, the care team and food was a hit with my parents.

Not had much experience of care homes. I am extremely pleased with the care given. The staff are very caring, professional and efficient. The weekly updates are much appreciated. The home is always clean and tidy. Altogether, a very well run home. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anybody.
