Taverham Grove Care Home, located in the lovely village of Taverham, west of Norwich, provides short-term respite care and longer term support for older people, including people living with dementia.
Black Swan recently purchased the care home, leaning on their extensive track record of transforming care homes into outstanding ones. The home is undergoing an extensive refurbishment under the new ownership.
The home is single-storey for accessibility and features two inviting living rooms, a large dining room and adapted bathrooms plus a large courtyard garden and a large wooded garden. Almost all of the 30 bedrooms has en-suite facilities and residents are welcome to personalise their bedrooms according to their tastes. All living areas have been renovated to provide a bright, comfortable and inviting environment for residents.
Activities Co-ordinators provide a wide range of fun and activities for residents to enjoy, with schedules being planned around residents' interests and ideas. The home works closely with the local community, offering opportunities to residents to continue to visit local cafes, pubs and shops. Events at the home are open to the public, including knit and natter groups, mother and toddler visits, coffee mornings and information and advice sessions.
The team at the home are caring, qualified and focused on treating residents with dignity and respect while providing high quality care and support, particularly in dementia care.
