Kings Lynn care home is perfectly situated in the heart of Kings Lynn, just five minutes walk from both the mainline rail and bus stations.

The home is a purpose-built facility with all accommodation situated on one level for ease of access. It has homely touches, with recently decorated light and airy communal spaces and predominantly en-suite accommodation for the comfort of its residents. The home features a pretty, enclosed garden which is readily accessible and a mixture of small and large communal areas.

High quality short-term, respite or rehabilitation care or longer term support is available at the home. Residents enjoy a relaxing environment with good access to local amenities in the local community.

Freshly cooked, nutritious meals are provided, catering for any dietary needs and there is a full activities and wellbeing programme, including one-to-one activities personalised to each resident as well as group activities. The team at the home is keen to maintain close relationships with the local community, and supports residents to continue to be a part of the local community.

When your mother needs to move into a care home, it will always be difficult. My mother has recently experienced such a move into the King's Lynn Residential Care Home and the whole experience could not have been more reassuring. The manager has a practical empathy that made everything so much easier.
She carefully explained the process for moving Mum in and there were no unwelcome surprises. All the staff I have met have been wonderful and caring, including the maintenance man, and interact well with my mother. My mother, although she would prefer to be able to live in her own home, no longer possible, constantly tells us that the place is clean, the food is good and plentiful and the staff very nice. Activities are arranged every afternoon, meaning that Mum has far more stimulation than she was getting living on her own. In her very short time so far, she is already looking better and is more alert.

After ongoing medical issues with our mother, we contacted the home, arranged a viewing and met some of the staff. It was such a positive experience, all staff were friendly and supportive.
The home itself is very comfortable and clean and we have been impressed with the standard of both meals and
care. Entertainment is organised on a daily basis and we were amused to find our mother playing bingo and enjoying the company. Although initially, we had only booked respite care, there is no doubt that we will be hoping she can stay permanently, as it is such a professionally run establishment.

King's Lynn Residential Home is excellent. The premises are always clean and the staff caring and kind. Lots of little extra touches contribute to making the home feel homely and welcoming and it's lovely to have a quiet room where relatives can be with their loved ones in a quiet and peaceful environment.
I
have arrived unannounced and am reassured that my relative is well-cared for at all times. Entertainment is good and varied and the food seems to be of a high standard with all special needs catered for.
I have never felt nervous or afraid that my relative will not be cared for in a kindly, compassionate and dignified way.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The dining area is nice and encouraged to leave their rooms to dine, also encouraged to participate in social activities too. Well-organised home with caring staff. I was very impressed with the checks on arrival, the temperature check and the logging out when
you leave. All makes for good security. Food is plentiful and well-balanced for residents with good appetites. Most satisfactory.

Staff always seem friendly and willing to help. They always seem friendly towards my mother. I'm always kept well informed if my mother has any health issues and the home are good at arranging transport for my mother's hospital appointments. I have not rated the activities because I don't know how good
they are but can confirm they are always being arranged with is good. I don't have a comparison to determine if it's good value for money. Overall I feel that my mother is being well looked after and I have complete confidence in the staff and management.

My dads recently moved in and it has been amazing. Food is of a high standard, which he enjoys. His room is small with limited storage but more than adequate. Staff are usually very attentive and helpful and are friendly. Today however took ten minutes to be let in which was frustrating. His coffee
machine (£200) is still missing which is not ideal.

My mum moved into this home in March. She has settled in so well and says she really feels at home there. She has made a lot of friends and it feels like a little community. The staff are really friendly and helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble. All in all, I can't praise this home enough. It
is so nice to know that if I'm away or can't get to see mum for some reason I know she is being well looked after and happy.

I moved both of my parents into the care home in November. Dad had been in another care home but was unhappy there, and Mum had been at their house alone. I wanted them to be together. They are both very happy now, and I can see the care and attention they are receiving is a 5-star plus. Their rooms
are bright, warm and comfortable, and we count ourselves lucky to have found such a wonderful place for them.

I am very pleased that my mother seems to have settled well and is happy at the home. The staff are always very pleasant to my mother and the manager is always helpful and keen to sort any worry out. Because of Mum's eyesight problems, it makes it difficult for her to participate in all activities,
but the staff help her to join in as much as possible. She likes the musical entertainment. I like the fact it is homely.

Such a lovely care home. Dad has only been in two weeks and is looking so much better. Staff are both caring and friendly and try to include all residents in daily activities. Dad is eating well again - the food is very good with lots of choice. It really does feel homely and we are able to visit and
have a meal with Dad whenever we want to. Everyone works so hard to keep the residents happy and healthy. Can't rate the home highly enough.

This care home is absolutely wonderful, after the sad loss of my sister (her daughter), I couldn't have wished for a better, caring and compassionate group of people to look out for her, she actually calls them her extended family. They went above and beyond to make sure that she had all the support

This care home is simply the best. You all care for my Dad so, so well, I can’t thank you all enough. Fantastic care and amazing entertainment for all the residents. My Dad watches the football and the staff always puts it on for him, makes him cups of coffee when he's upset and sits with him. I know
my Dad is safe and well looked after here.

Always made to feel welcome when visiting Dad. The staff go out of their way to make everything run efficiently and safely due to Covid-19 whilst keeping a friendly and helpful atmosphere. Love being able to see what our family member is up to via an online page and you can see how caring the staff
are and how they go out of their way to ensure our family are loved and cared for when we are so far away.

I've rated this home previously in 2020 but wanted to update as it continues to offer such a high level of care to all of the residents and I feel this needs to be recognised. I follow them online and love seeing regular updates of activities that the residents have taken part in. My friend who resides
in the home had a large bird feeding area built outside for her and other residents to enjoy, which she loved! The home offers a wide variety of activities and uses a person-centred approach in regards to this and other aspects of an individual's care. The residents look happy and content. The staff are kind, caring and accommodating and are very much like a second family to the residents. The food is great! The manager and deputy manager are amazing and offer staff support and learning paths to progress and this is very evident in the levels of care and support residents receive. If I ever had to reside in a care home I'd want to be in this one.

Wonderful staff, caring and respectful. I particularly like the innovative activities that are organised, and seeing the residents on Facebook is so wonderful. Everyone appears to really enjoy the activities and I feel very reassured to see my Dad’s smiling face on a regular basis. My Dad is also
very happy and enjoys his life at the home and feels very well supported and content.
The room is just right for him, a good size with en-suite facilities which is so useful for him and he feels that the room is homely. I also appreciate the attention that is given to his medical needs, he is supported with attending physiotherapy and opticians and whatever he needs. The staff communicate regularly to keep me up to date with his medical problems which really helps to alleviate my anxieties. I also am very appreciative of the way staff go out of their way to help Dad to attend local events for example Remembrance Sunday, to ensure he is included in parades and able to meet old friends.

My aunt was in a previous care home after a fall at home, that care home was not a patch on Kings Lynn Residential and I can't thank them highly enough for making her feel so relaxed and safe. The management and staff are all truly amazing and nothing is too much trouble for them. I couldn't have wished
