View Full Details of Kings Lynn Residential HomeWhat a lovely place for the residents. All staff were really attentive and couldn't do enough for us. A very pleasant experience, clean, friendly and a lovely birthday party with lovely food. The entertainment lady was exceptionally good.
Mum is very happy living at King's Lynn Residential Home. She feels safe and likes all the staff. We find the management and staff well trained and very professional.
I came to visit my sister along with my wife and 2 friends. We were welcomed into the home by a very friendly lady and taken to my sister. We were offered lunch which we accepted and we all sat outside in the garden to have it The food was lovely and all the staff we met were very friendly, the home looked lovely and my sister is very happy in her surroundings.
The BSKL took Mum in at short notice and cared for her very well whilst we organised some more local care. The staff and management were all very helpful and kind. We felt Mum was safe and secure in the home and well looked after.
My Aunt has only been at Kings Lynn Residential Home 3 weeks but has settled in very nicely, she started off with respite but we have all agreed this would be best for her permanent care. She is well looked after regarding help with getting washed and dressed, taking her medication, mealtime food and drink choices, plenty of activities going on and encouraging her to join in. Whenever myself or a member of family go to visit we are also very welcomed, staff make sure we have somewhere private to sit if we want to be out of her room, we are always offered drinks and snacks, it is very reassuring knowing that she has 24-hour care and has lovely people looking after her, treating her as one of their own, we have nothing but praise for the care she has received so far and are very much at ease that she is happy and safe and has helped this big move easier for us all.
The staff helpful and friendly, activities are good, this year's BBQ was brilliant, staff worked very hard. Mum's room has just been completed redecorated with new carpet and furniture moved to give more room. Only issue is sometimes staff slow answering room buzzer but overall very good.
This is a great place, the staff are so kind and cannot do enough for the residents. There are lots of activities and things to get involved in. I am so impressed with the staff they are always busy but nothing is too much trouble.
The staff were all so smiling and helpful. I was made to feel like one of the family straight away. It is clean and bright and the rooms are lovely. Everyone is just so friendly.
My dad is a very happy resident. The staff are all caring, friendly and helpful. The home is run very professionally. My dad thoroughly enjoys the various activities and excursions. His wishes have been well met, and for example, he now even has a piano in his room.
My mother has recently arrived at the care home and everyone has been so welcoming, the home is warm and I feel so secure in the knowledge mum is safe and everyone has her best interests at heart. The food is very good and I’m pleased she is encouraged to join in with activities and meals in the lovely dining room.
Since transferring Dad from his previous care home he has been so much happier and content. He used to spend so much time in his bedroom but now he always seems to be occupied with various activities and only ever sleeps in his room spending a majority of his time in the communal areas. The staff are wonderful, friendly and caring and go a long way to create a fantastic atmosphere in the home. I am so pleased we moved him here!
Right from the start, my family and I have been made to feel welcome and respected. Everyone is sensitive to my father's needs and accommodated him extremely well. He recently commented that the food was so good and the staff are always there for him. I am always met by friendly faces and anyone of the staff can tell me how he is getting on. Surprisingly, he is getting more involved with daily activities on offer, something he was reluctant to do before. The home is clearly very well managed and runs very smoothly. I am always impressed with how staff are so highly visible and attentive to residents. The atmosphere is positively lovely and genuinely has a 'family feel' about it; residents and visitors can eat and play together, which is wonderful. Little touches like snacks and drinks being freely available for residents, their family, friends, visiting Health Workers and that my father can enjoy a little nightcap like he used to, makes this a very special place indeed.
Mum has been in the home about eight months and I am very happy with the service and care they are providing. Although Mum was not keen at all to move into a care home, she has said nothing but positive things about the home, the people, facilities, food and cleanliness. I live in Canada and the staff have engaged in personal conversations with me which really helped. They have ensured Mum is in her room at an agreed time so that she is there to receive a video call from me. This is fantastic as it allows Mum to have a video chat with us, including my son, her only grandchild. (For anyone interested, we find the WIFI service very good for these video chats). They have also helped Mum with the technical side of using the video conferencing which is beyond helpful! I recently came over to the UK and visited Mum. I was very impressed with all the facilities, the staff and my mum's wellbeing. They reminded Mum about my arrival and made sure she was ready for our planned activities.
My mother was assessed due to her Alzheimer’s diagnosis and then had a two week trial period at the care home. Managers and staff really helped settle Mum in and responded positively to all my constant questions! Visiting family members were all made to feel welcome. Moving into a care home is a difficult decision, but I feel we’ve been able to make it Mum’s new home quite quickly. A very big thank you to everyone at the care home.
My mum has been a resident since May, before this she lived alone, since she has been in the home she now enjoys the company of others and joins in with the activities each day and we know she is being well cared for and is happy in her new environment. I would recommend this home.
Wonderful caring staff, very clean home and the activities are really good and also the entertainment are good visitors are always welcome and the security is very good the rooms are always clean.
King's Lynn Residential Home is a wonderful home, always clean, and well maintained, the furniture is in excellent condition and the food is to a very high standard and good choices to cover all resident's needs. Themed parties and birthdays are catered for with some lovely food, cakes and decorations. The staff always look well dressed in their uniforms, are very attentive and nothing is too much for them, they are always ready to go that extra mile, organising all manner of games bingo, dominoes cards, and keep fit exercises, musical/singing entertainment, pub lunches, gardening groups, theatre visits and much more to keep the residents entertained and active both mentally and physically. Overall, this is a very well-run residential home and I only have praise for the management, carers, catering team and home maintenance team.
The home is a very pleasant environment, my mother is very happy and content. The staff are welcoming and their interaction with residents is friendly and caring. Visitors are made to feel very welcome.
Sadly my mother contracted covid at the end of March 2020 whilst in Kings Lynn Residential Centre and this gave her a major stroke. She went from being a very independent, fit lady albeit with dementia, to someone who has to have everything done for her and has pain from her paralysed right arm and leg. I know that despite her sweet temperament she often gets angry with her carers. I hold the carers at Kings Lynn Residental Care in awe that they continue to always be so kind and caring to her in what is a physically and mentally demanding job. I have realised that a care home is really about the staff and their cheerfulness, kindness and hard work never fail to astound me. They also have to have an understanding of her type of dementia and what she believes and this must be tricky. I am very grateful to them. I can thoroughly recommend KLRC. I have been humbled by the warmth, gentleness and forbearance of the staff. Thank you.
When your mother needs to move into a care home, it will always be difficult. My mother has recently experienced such a move into the King's Lynn Residential Care Home and the whole experience could not have been more reassuring. The manager has a practical empathy that made everything so much easier. She carefully explained the process for moving Mum in and there were no unwelcome surprises. All the staff I have met have been wonderful and caring, including the maintenance man, and interact well with my mother. My mother, although she would prefer to be able to live in her own home, no longer possible, constantly tells us that the place is clean, the food is good and plentiful and the staff very nice. Activities are arranged every afternoon, meaning that Mum has far more stimulation than she was getting living on her own. In her very short time so far, she is already looking better and is more alert.
