Job summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our award winning team.
In this role you will provide essential support to residents in our care home, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
You will work closely with Healthcare Professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily activities, making a positive impact on the lives of those in your care.
Responsibilities include:
- To respond positively to the spiritual, emotional, physical and mental needs of the residents
- To monitor the health, welfare and well being of residents; following the plan of care
- To monitor residents’ hygiene and self-care and record and report any changes to this
- To be knowledgeable regarding the whereabouts of the residents at all times
- To maintain proper and accurate records regarding the residents and other Home information, writing reports in the care plan on daily events
- Ensure that the staff team is supported at all times maintaining professional relationships with all staff, setting a good example regarding general conduct at work
- Preparation of snacks and serving of meals
- Maintaining cleanliness throughout the home
- To be aware and follow all procedures of the Home
- To be knowledgeable regarding emergency procedures pertaining to the Home
- To keep up to date with recent care developments, attend relevant courses/training
- To have knowledge of the use of any equipment within the Home
Skills / Qualifications:
- Training will be provided
- Previous carer experience not essential
