Job summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Chef to join our nursing home team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals in line with set menus and dietary requirements

• Ensure high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness

• Comply with food safety and health & safety regulations

• Manage food preparation efficiently within allocated hours

• Work collaboratively with the care and management team

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a chef or cook 

• Knowledge of special diets and allergens

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

• Reliable, organised, and caring approach to work
