Location: Libanus, Brecon, Powys, LD3 8EN
Pay: £12.35 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 42 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Days 8:00 - 20:00
Rota: Includes every other weekend and bank holidays

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Care Assistant to join our dedicated team at The Mountains Care Home. This role involves working a mixture of day and night shifts and offers the opportunity to provide meaningful, person-centred care in a calm and supportive environment.

About The Mountains

Set in the beautiful Brecon Beacons, The Mountains Care Home provides 24-hour nursing and residential care for adults aged 65+ living with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and mental health needs. Our home is known for its warm atmosphere, strong teamwork, and commitment to dignity and quality care.

The Role

As a Care Assistant, you will support residents with their daily needs, ensuring comfort, safety, and wellbeing at all times. Duties include:

• Providing personal care with dignity and respect
• Supporting residents with meals, hydration, mobility, and daily routines
• Following individual care plans and promoting independence
• Offering companionship, reassurance, and emotional support
• Accurately recording care provided and reporting any changes in wellbeing
• Working flexibly across day and night shifts as part of a rota

What We’re Looking For

? NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (preferred)
? Experience in a care setting (essential)
? Desirable: experience in nursing care and/or EMI environments
? Knowledge and experience of supporting people living with dementia
? Kind, patient, and professional approach
? Flexible to work days, alternate weekends and bank holidays
