Job summary
Leighton Rose Care Home are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join their team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our residents. Your primary focus will be to assist with daily living activities, ensuring that individuals receive the highest standard of care while promoting their independence and dignity. The ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, adhering to care plans.
- Monitor and record residents ' health status, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following hygiene protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with residents and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team within a dynamic environment.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation are advantageous.
- Understanding of home care practices or experience in a care home setting is beneficial.
