Head Cook

Job summary

We are a 47 bed residential home, situated close to Harrogate town centre. We are looking to employ a Head Cook for our establishment. We would preferably like someone with experience of cooking for large numbers of people with complex dietary needs and preferably a cooking qualification. It is imperative that the successful candidate understands the needs of elderly residents who have often complex dietary requirements.

Responsibilities:

Preparing and cooking food.

Baking cakes for afternoon tea whilst providing alternative options.

Reviewing and changing menus.

Stock rotation and ordering of food.

Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen

Ensuring the kitchen check books are filled in.

Leading a small team of kitchen staff.
