Care Home Regional Operations Director (Up to £95,000 with a £7,500 Car Allowance)

A fabulous opportunity has arisen for a Regional Operations Director to lead our southern region covering Essex and London which comprises 16 nursing and care homes. Ten of these homes offer nursing care.

Excelcare are privately owned and operate 31 care and nursing homes in Essex, Cambridge, London and Milton Keynes. We are a progressive care home provider with a clear vision, strong leadership, and ambitious growth plans. 

As the Care Home Regional Operations Director, you would be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.  You would be responsible for overseeing the quality and financial performance of the region as a whole and to ensure the services are running safely and effectively. You will have the support of your Home Management Team, as well as a well-established Regional Team which comprises Quality Development, Talent Acquisition, Learning & development, Sales & Marketing, Administration and Estates and Facilities Partners.

About you

· A nurse qualification is desirable OR a Level 5 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent with experience operating at a senior level

· Proven operational experience in a senior Regional Role – Director or Manager, leading a portfolio of Nursing and Care Homes.

· Outcome focused and strong operational knowledgeable of CQC regulations, including the Single Assessment Framework and current legislation.

· Strong business acumen with understanding of the financials and ability to report this to the Board as required and recognise where improvements and cost savings are required.

· Strong track record of innovation with the ability to quickly identify areas for improvement and impact the results and outcomes.

· Current driving licence with access to own vehicle.

· Ability to build strong professional relationships with all stakeholders internally and externally.
