We’re Hiring – Chef (Care Home Catering)

The Royal Alfred Seafarers’ Society, Woodmansterne (near Banstead, Surrey)

We’re looking for a skilled and caring Chef to join our friendly catering team, preparing nutritious, comforting meals that make a real difference to our residents’ daily lives.

Hours:

• 35 hours per week

• 5 × 7-hour shifts

• Earlies: 7:00am–2:00pm

• Lates: 11:15am–6:15pm

• Every other weekend + some Bank Holidays

Pay & benefits:

• £18.68 per hour

• 28 days annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays)

• Consistent rota and stable hours

The role includes:

• Cooking fresh, well-balanced meals for older residents

• Catering for special diets and individual preferences

• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety

• Working closely with care teams to support residents’ wellbeing

You’ll bring:

• Experience as a Chef or Cook (care or healthcare experience desirable)

• A good understanding of nutrition for older people

• A caring, reliable, and team-focused approach

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
