HOUSEKEEPER / LAUNDRY ASSISTANT
General Duties
- Follow instructions as requested by the Manager and the Head Housekeeper
- Ensure that any information collected during the performing of duties is kept confidential.
- Maintain high standards of accommodation so that the Home is presentable, tidy and clean at all times.
- Ensure there are no Health & Safety hazards which might put residents or visitors at risk.
- Ensure the effective treatment, processing and presentation of items laundered.
- Report any damage to the residents’ clothing to the Manager.
- Collect and distribute all laundry to its appropriate storage in the Home or in accordance with the individual residents’ requirements.
- Ensure beds are made and rooms left tidy and presentable at all times.
- Ensure the laundry equipment is operated safely and appropriately and report any malfunction to the Manager.
- Maintain the laundry in a tidy, presentable and hazard free condition.
- Ensure all laundry hazardous materials are never left unattended when being used and kept locked at all other times.
