Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Home Manager to lead the team at our well-established, 20-bed Nursing and residential care home located in the affluent area of in Brecon. This service has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality care and Good CIW rating.

As the Home Manager, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and wellbeing for all residents, while leading and developing a committed staff team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader with a proven track record in Nursing and residential care management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs and preferences.
  • Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care is delivered consistently.
  • Coordinate medication administration and monitor residents' health status.
  • Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and staff to foster a supportive community environment.
  • Oversee budgeting and financial management for the home, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Facilitate training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills in senior care and management.
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all residents through effective operations management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings.
  • Background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in memory care environments is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising staff and managing teams.
  • Knowledge of dementia care practices and Alzheimer's support strategies.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on budgeting and financial acumen.
  • Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
  • Experience in home & community care settings is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with residents, families, and team members.
