Job Overview

Duties

  • Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
  • Support individuals with their care plans, ensuring they are followed accurately and respectfully.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental wellbeing.
  • Help with meals/feeding where necessary, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies.
  • Support clients with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure consistent care delivery.

Skills

  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of care home procedures and home care practices is advantageous.
  • Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while demonstrating empathy and patience.
