About Us:
At Dudley Oaks, we are committed to providing compassionate and
high-quality care for our 35 elderly residents, many of whom live with
dementia. Our care home in Dudley is a warm and welcoming environment
where residents are treated with respect, dignity, and kindness.
The Role:
We are looking for caring and dedicated individuals to join our
team as Care Assistants. In this role, you will provide essential care
and support to our residents, helping them maintain their independence
and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Help residents with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times
- Assist during mealtimes, offering support to those who need help with eating and drinking
- Engage with residents in social activities, offering companionship and emotional support
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents’ conditions to senior staff
- Ensure residents’ rooms and communal areas are clean, tidy, and welcoming.
- Work closely with the care team to deliver tailored, person-centred care that meets each resident’s individual needs
- Uphold the dignity and privacy of residents at all times, providing care with compassion and respect
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in caregiving, particularly in a care home setting, is beneficial but not essential. We provide comprehensive training for those new to the field
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic individuals who are committed to improving the lives of others
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, their families, and your colleagues
- A genuine passion for caring for the elderly and a willingness to learn and grow in the role
- While no formal qualifications are required, an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is advantageous. We also support further training and development
