The staff are wonderful and very professional. They look after my grandfather very well. The management are great and always listen to any concerns and act upon them immediately. If ever they have a concern or health worries, they inform me straight away, along with letting me know of doctor visits. I could not ask for a better care home.

I think the care for my husband was brilliant and we could not of had better care anywhere else. Previous relatives have been to Ridgeway and the care has always been amazing. Staff were very good carers, and they were more like family we were both treated with respect and dignity. Management Steph and Leigh-Ann have supported me and Lawson before and after his passing. I know my husband felt safe throughout his time. I would definitely recommend Ridgeway to anyone. I cannot speak highly enough about the care, staff and management of Ridgeway. Thank you so much.

My sister has been in Ridgeway for a few years. She has been looked after well. She always tells me she is happy which is a great relief for me. I think she joins in some activities and she likes talking to people.

Do not send your loved ones to this care home. My cousin suffered a leg injury in December and following a spell in hospital, she was sent out to this care home to recover. It was awful going to visit because she hated it there. She had to be non weight bearing on her injured leg so could not leave her bed without help. But she was unable to reach her call button to summon help when she needed the toilet so frequently ended up lying in a wet bed. She found this so degrading and upsetting. The smell of the place was awful with an aroma of stale urine everywhere. When she left hospital she was on blood thinning injections due to being immobile and this was supposed to have continued at the home. We were told they weren't allowed to do it but a District nurse would come in. This never happened and after two weeks she was admitted back to hospital after coughing up blood. Following a scan they discovered blood clots on her lungs which would need medication for 6 months. Such awful care.

Reply from Tasha, Administrator at Ridgeway Court
Thank you for your feedback. We are truly sorry for your experience, as discussed with you, the hospital provides the referral and authorisation required by the Nurse team. We chased this daily, as we informed you, and escalated it further.

Its unfortunate you never mentioned any other concerns...

Do not use this care home. My Aunty was here for 2 weeks and the care was terrible. We have since been told it is the worst care home in the area, with other medical professions stating 'good luck' when she was assigned a bed at this care home. My relative was left in her room, with no care for hours with no access to the emergency buzzer, it was out of reach, my aunty was non weight bearing and she was just left, in a mess, not changed, with no sense of urgency to help. My aunty ended up back in hospital with blood clots on her lungs due to her poor care. This care home needs reviewing immediately. Do not use. Basic care needs are neglected. Staff are mainly agency and not trained to a high enough standard. The home smells due to residents being sat and not changed for long periods of time.

Reply from Tasha, Administrator at Ridgeway Court

We are disappointed you left feeling this way and would welcome you back to discuss any of these matters further.

My brother was in respite. The room he was given was dark and miserable, no en-suite just a commode in the corner.

His mental health and mobility deteriorated in this time. There seemed to be minimal contact with the staff. All I saw on visits were residents sat in the lounge with music on, I didn't see any activities to stimulate the residents. Staff were in the room but no encouragement of activity. Despite this he was washed and clean and the staff were pleasant when spoken to.

Reply from ta, Manager at Ridgeway Court
All of our rooms are going through a process of refurbishment and at the time of your brothers admission that was the only room available. We do try to accomodate as best as we can, but with it being an emergency same day admission we had limited options.

We did assure you that were it a long term...

I put my mom into this home in the hope that I could have some peace of mind after mom's dementia worsened. I was very please from the onset. The initial visit with the manager put my mind at rest. I had many questions that were answered immediately from mom being able to bring in her own chair to her specialised dietary needs. Mom has been treated like a family member, one of the staff has gone out of her way to make mom comfortable and another staff member has kept me up to date with mom's progress. Activities keep mom active and she even gets to help clean the home. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for care for their loved ones

My mum has been a resident for 10 months. The manager and 3 other members of staff to name a few have been attentive to my mums needs. I have recommended that they provide more activities which since April has now started. Whilst I appreciate the difficulty to recruit staff for activities as one member of staff mentioned I feel as this is something that the existing carers could manage with alittle thought. When I have needed information or any concerns regarding my mum I have been able to speak candidly to any member of staff.
The premises are clean and never have a 'smell' thanks to the vigilance of the cleaners.
The owners have made significant improvements and are still on going which I have every trust in them carrying out what they are planning.
Perhaps more comm. regarding any up and coming events and a monthly plan of activities would be nice to see, this could be on a notice board. Also would be good to know the menu so that this can be talked about with residents (my mum).

Family Room,Outdoor Gdn needed.

Mom was a resident in Ridgeway court for approx 3 yrs. In that time the staff/ carers looked after her with care and compassion often in difficult circumstances as mom suffered with dementia.

I felt comfortable that she was receiving the appropriate care and respect she deserved and I had a good level of communication with the staff.

The place has certainly been improved since being taken over. Looks a lot more spacious staff and management are very friendly and helpful also. The place is always very clean and tidy. Elevators are always broken though.

It's great to see the changes are having an immediate and positive impact to all. We are always grateful for feedback on staff and management as we go the extra mile for everyone at our Home, and its nice for that to be recognised. We have also moved away from the previous lift company to a new one, with better response times.

Mom has always been treated with total respect and dignity at Ridgeway throughout the various stages of her dementia. Current and previous staff have always done their best for Mom, even when she's being difficult. Yes Mom is ill, but I know she's safe in their hands. Thank you to all.

Ridgeway Court staff looked after my husband very well during his step-down care there.
The Staff are all very nice, hard-working and friendly towards the residents and their families.
Ali and Imran the new owners are trying to refurb the place to make it more modern and up to date.
The bedrooms are all freshly painted and comfortable for the residents.
I think maybe there could be more ensuite rooms added to aid resident's comfort.
Nicely placed along the main road close to all amenities for visiting family.

Would recommend it to everyone.
