Our two sixty-bed Care Homes are based in St George’s Park, Ditchling Common, within 3 miles of both Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill, set within 250 acres of beautiful gardens and farmlands, in an area of outstanding natural beauty with views overlooking the South Downs.

The Role
We are looking for a reliable and flexible General Assistant to support our Care Home teams and ensure a high-quality environment for our residents. This varied role includes driving residents to appointments using company vehicles, collecting prescriptions, and generally supporting the Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Laundry teams when required. Duties will also involve painting and decorating, cleaning, and assisting with laundry tasks.
You will help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming Home, follow all Health & Safety procedures, and work professionally and confidentially at all times. Building positive relationships with residents, visitors, and colleagues is essential.
Working hours:
37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Core working hours are 08:00 - 15:30 however this is flexible to meet the needs of the Home.
Requirements
- Clean, full driver's license is essential
- 2 years' experience within a similar position or environment is preferable, but not essential
- Ability to work independently with low levels of supervision
- A clear enhanced criminal record check and satisfactory references will be required for this position.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status, in line with our policy to protect residents and staff, is mandatory.

- The ability to talk and listen to residents and other contacts both internally and externally
