Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the kitchen team to deliver outstanding food quality and presentation.
• Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including meal planning, cooking, and plating.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen.
• Develop innovative menus considering seasonal ingredients and residents preferences.
• Manage stock levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise operational efficiency.
• Train and mentor staff to uphold best practices in food handling and hygiene.
• Monitor kitchen operations during to maintain high standards of efficiency and quality.

Experience

• Proven experience in food preparation and cooking.
• Strong background in kitchen management or supervisory positions.
• Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and presentation skills.
• Experience in menu development and inventory management is desirable.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead a team effectively under pressure.
