Job summary

Riverside Care Home, Burton on Trent, DE15 9AP are looking for a part-time experienced cook to join our team, All applicants must have a Food Safety Level 2 certificate and experience working within a care environment would be desired, but not a necessity.

Details of this cook position

· 3 - 4 shifts per week

· Alternate weekends

· Shift start time 7.30am 

· £13.00 per hour 

· To prepare and cook a balanced, nutritious diet within a controlled hygienic environment.

· To control systems of food allocation to minimise wastage.

· To operate and supervise other staff in order that all purchases are controlled within a budget set by the Management.

· To ensure that the Kitchen areas are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.

· To maintain a balance diet and varied menus.

· To be aware of the Residents dietary needs and preferences.
