Job summary

Join our small, supportive care home as a senior care assistant or night shift team leader and help provide compassionate care in a calm and friendly environment.

We are a 36 bed residenial dementia-focused home with a dedicated night care team. In this role, you will take the lead overnight to ensure residents are safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the night care team
  • Provide person-centred care and emotional support for residents overnight
  • Administer and record medication
  • Respond to call bells, emergencies, and overnight needs
  • Update care records and hand over information at shift changes
  • Team leaders will work closely with manager and deputy manager to lead the Nights team.

Skills and Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or currently working towards it)
  • Minimum 2 years’ care experience, including night shifts
  • Confidence in medication handling ( refresher training provided)
  • Calm, compassionate, and reliable approach
