About Us
Bridge House is a newly established, 4-bed transitional home supporting young women aged 18–30 with a learning disability and/or autism. We offer medium-term residential placements (typically around three years, flexed to individual progress) designed to help young adults build confidence, independence, and real-world life skills as a stepping stone towards more independent living.
At Bridge House, we focus on preparing young adults for life - not just supporting them day to day. Our life-skills programme is practical, personalised, and empowering, and may include:
- Money management and financial independence
- Home management and daily living skills
- Cooking, nutrition, and healthy routines
- Communication and building meaningful relationships
- Health, wellbeing, and self-care
- Education, employment, and future planning - and so much more
We are proud to offer a homely, supportive, and aspirational environment where young adults are encouraged to grow at their own pace and celebrate every achievement, big or small.
