Support Worker

Job summary

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join our team in a friendly 19-bed residential care home. The successful candidate will support residents with their daily living needs, promote independence, and help create a safe, respectful, and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care and support to residents in line with individual care plans

• Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting

• Support residents with mobility, meals, and hydration

• Encourage independence, choice, and dignity at all times

• Build positive, professional relationships with residents, families, and colleagues

• Assist with social activities and daily routines to enhance residents’ quality of life

• Maintain accurate records and report any changes in residents’ health or wellbeing

• Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and infection control procedures

• Work as part of a team to ensure high standards of care are consistently met

Essential Requirements

• A caring, patient, and respectful approach

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Willingness to undertake training and development

• Right to work in the UK

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
