Leabrook House is an independent, family run nursing home, located in Tipton in the West Midlands. We currently employ a dedicated team of nurses, carers, domestics, kitchen staff, activity and physio team to provide care and support to residents with complex nursing needs. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team and would like to invite you to apply. We offer a fixed rolling rota and a combination of six hour or twelve-hour shifts- including weekends and bank holidays. On site parking is available, however; if you are not a driver- there are bus stops located outside the service and we are a short walk from the tram station.
In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Ideally you will have the following qualities:
- Experience is not essential however a willingness to learn would be an advantage.
- Maintain a positive and friendly attitude, with good sense of humour and ability to communicate well.

Duties include but not restricted to:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, assistance with mealtimes.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
- Foster a warm and supportive environment by engaging clients in conversation and activities that promote their well-being.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while providing care services.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable but not essential.
- Good IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively with team members.
- Proficient in English
- both written and spoken
- to ensure clear communication with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual client needs.
