Job summary

Head of Care required to work days in a small residential home in Betley. We are looking for a strong dynamic leader who can help support and lead our team of care staff, and support our deputy manager. The position is full time, with a view to overtime as necessary.

We pay above ‘average’ pay rates, which are constantly reviewed in line with government guidelines. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer a COS at this time.

Reporting to the Registered Manager successful candidates will have the following attributes>

Person Specification

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills

Job Role

  • medication administration
  • supervision of Senior and Care staff
  • Updating care plans
  • Monitoring the health needs of the residents
  • Pre-admission assessments
  • Ensure staff are adhering to policies and procedures
  • Liaising with professionals in the interest of the residents.

Friendly caring nature required, and the ability to work as part of a team is essential.

You will need to be able to demonstrate your commitment to providing good quality care, that is person centred to meet the needs of the residents.

Previous experience in care is essential, but training will be given to anyone who has not had previous senior experience. NVQ 3 in Health or Social Care, or the willingness to work towards a qualification.
