Layden Court Care Home in Maltby is looking to recruit compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to join our team on day shifts.
We are a 92-bed care home providing person-centred care in a friendly, welcoming environment. Our residents are at the heart of everything we do, supported by dedicated staff and supportive families.

Role Overview
As a Care Assistant, you will support residents with their personal care, daily activities, and emotional wellbeing, promoting dignity, independence, and choice at all times.
You will play a vital role in ensuring residents feel safe, respected, and valued.
Key Responsibilities

Providing high-quality personal care including washing, dressing, and toileting

Supporting residents with meals and hydration
-
Assisting with mobility and safe moving & handling
-
Encouraging independence and participation in daily activities
-
Maintaining accurate care records
-
Working in line with CQC standards, safeguarding, and infection control policies

Building positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
Essential Criteria

Good communication and teamwork skills

Willingness to work day shifts and alternate weekends

Ability to follow care plans and policies

Respect for dignity, privacy, and choice

Right to work in the UK

Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check
Desirable Criteria

Previous experience as a Care Assistant (training provided for the right person)

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care

Experience working in a care home or healthcare setting

Knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and infection control
