Job summary
Layden Court Care Home in Maltby is looking to recruit a compassionate and reliable Night Care Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.
We are a 92-bed care home providing person-centred care in a safe, calm, and welcoming environment. Our residents, families, and staff work closely together to ensure high-quality care at all times, including overnight.

Role Overview
As a Night Care Assistant, you will support residents throughout the night, ensuring their safety, comfort, and wellbeing. You will provide personal care when required, respond to call bells, complete night-time checks, and maintain a calm and reassuring environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality personal care in line with individual care plans

Carry out night-time checks and respond promptly to residents’ needs

Support residents with mobility and moving & handling
-
Maintain a quiet, safe, and comfortable environment overnight

Accurately complete care records and night logs
-
Follow safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety procedures

Communicate effectively with colleagues during handovers
Essential Criteria

Desirable Criteria

Previous experience as a Night Care Assistant

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care

Experience working in a care home or healthcare setting

Understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, and infection control
