Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care
Assistant to join our team at a reputable care home specialising in
senior care. The successful candidate will play a vital role in
delivering high-quality personalised care, supervising junior staff,
and ensuring the well-being and comfort of residents. This role offers

Care Assistant will be responsible for assisting with care plans,
supervising daily activities, and maintaining effective communication
with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and personalised care to residents in accordance with individual care plans
- Supervise and support junior care staff, promoting best practices and maintaining high standards of care
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility
- Ensure the safety and dignity of all residents at all times
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and update care plans as required
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure coordinated care
- Organise and participate in team meetings and training sessions to promote continuous improvement
- Support the organisation of activities that enhance residents’ wellbeing and social engagement
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or senior care environment is essential
- Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of care plans, safeguarding procedures, and relevant health & safety regulations
- IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; however, flexibility for travel may be beneficial for certain responsibilities
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in providing high-quality senior care
