A superb opportunity for a capable individual to provide leadership and oversee the day-to-day operations of our care facility in Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria. In this full-time, on-site role, you will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care through the adoption and application of policy & procedure, together with maintaining regulatory compliance, managing staff and fostering a positive environment for both residents and team members.
The post requires someone who can lead, direct, inspire others, who understands the importance of following policy & procedure and has attention to detail. It is very much a “sleeves rolled up” and “hands on” one, involving monitoring the quality of care provision by conducting a wide variety of checks and audits, meeting compliance regulations and adhering to the appropriate care standards and regulations, together with effective Facilities management. Registration with the Care Quality Commission is essential. On-call provision is required as is the ability at times to work outside of "normal" office hours.

A Care Home is open 24/7, 365 days a year, a Care Home Manager's job is a vocation, it is a way of life, not asking of others what you would not be willing to do yourself. It requires understanding, flexibility and dedication to ensure you and your colleagues perform their roles properly resulting in high quality care provision and commercial sustainability.
