We are recruiting a Maintenance Person to join our Maintenance Team of 3 staff operating across our iconic building maintaining and servicing all maintenance level jobs.

Person Specification

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills

Job role:

Ensure that the minor electrical problems such as bulbs/plugs are safely dealt with.

Aware of the measures necessary for larger problem solving, with regard to safety at all times.

Able to deal with day-to-day plumbing problems, such as washers, minor blockages, etc. To be aware of the measures necessary for the larger problem-solving.

Carry out carpentry, painting and decorating jobs as and when required.

Understand the central heating system boilers and be able to troubleshoot.

Carry out general maintenance as requested with regard to the Health & Safety at Work Act.

Assist in the general hygiene of the external buildings, for example the refuse area.

Assist in the general hygiene of the internal building, for example carpet cleaning as necessary.

Drive the company vehicle as necessary. For example, outings, transfers of residents/ equipment.

Undertake the delivery of specimens as requested by medical/nursing staff. The collection of prescriptions and collection of drugs form chemists as required.

Complete the required paperwork, recording daily, weekly, monthly tasks etc

Undertake any other duties as and when required.
