Are you a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse looking for part?time night shifts? Dalton Court, our welcoming 60?bed home in the lovely town of Cockermouth, provides high?quality Nursing, Dementia and Palliative care in a warm and supportive environment. We are seeking an experienced Part?Time Night Nurse to join our dedicated night team, ensuring excellent clinical care and reassurance for residents throughout the night.

As a Part?Time Registered Nurse (Nights), you will:

  • Deliver high?quality, person?centred nursing care tailored to each resident’s needs.
  • Support residents during night?time routines, ensuring comfort, safety and dignity.
  • Administer medication, undertake clinical assessments and monitor health conditions with precision.
  • Work closely with night carers to maintain continuity of care and clear communication.
  • Respond to any changes in residents’ health quickly and effectively.
  • Provide emotional support to residents and maintain clear handovers to the day team.

What are we looking for?

  • Registered General Nurses (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN)
  • Kind, patient and reliable individuals dedicated to excellent night?time care
  • Nursing home experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication and clinical judgement skills
  • Availability to work part?time night shifts, including some weekends as required

*Overtime is paid for working over fulltime hours. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘STREAM’. Advertised pay rate effective from 1st April 2026. This role attracts a welcome bonus of £1,000 subject to terms (£500 after three months of employment, with a further £500 awarded upon successful completion of six-month probation). Bonus payments are calculated on a pro rata basis in line with contracted hours (FTE). The welcome bonus is available to applicants who apply directly to Sandstone Care Group and does not apply to candidates introduced via recruitment agencies.
