Hazelford Care Home in Bleasby is looking to recruit compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to join our team on day or night shifts.
We are a 36-bed care home providing person-centred care in a friendly, welcoming environment. Our residents are at the heart of everything we do, supported by dedicated staff and supportive families.

- Role: Care Assistant (Day/ night Shifts)
- Hours: Full-time / Part-time available
- Contract: Permanent
- Shift Pattern: Day or night shifts, including alternate weekends
- Pay: Competitive rate (discussed at interview)
Role Overview
As a Care Assistant, you will support residents with their personal care, daily activities, and emotional wellbeing, promoting dignity, independence, and choice at all times.
You will play a vital role in ensuring residents feel safe, respected, and valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality personal care including washing, dressing, and toileting
- Supporting residents with meals and hydration
- Assisting with mobility and safe moving & handling
- Encouraging independence and participation in daily activities
- Maintaining accurate care records
- Working in line with CQC standards, safeguarding, and infection control policies
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
Essential Criteria
- A kind, caring, and patient nature
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work day shifts and alternate weekends
- Ability to follow care plans and policies
- Respect for dignity, privacy, and choice
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience as a Care Assistant (training provided for the right person)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
- Experience working in a care home or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and infection control
