Job summary
An award winning 'outstanding' residential care home based in Romford requires a hard working and experienced housekeeper to work within a team of housekeepers. Flexibility, reliability and good time management skills are essential. The candidate must be able to work alternate weekends and must be able to work all shifts (6am - 1pm, 8am - 3pm, 12pm - 7pm). Full in-house training, particularly in relation to dementia and end of life care, is given.
Key responsibilities:
- To keep a high standard of cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene in order to contribute to the quality of care and lifestyle afforded to each service user – this is particularly applicable to each service user’s privacy and dignity in respect of their personal possessions.
- To ensure the clean and hygienic maintenance of the home.
- To ensure that the service users laundry needs are met and that it is clean and well-maintained and presented to the required standard.
Satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS will be required.
Skills / Qualifications:
- NVQ2/RQF2 or equivalent - desireable
- Experience of working as a Housekeeper - ESSENTIAL
