About the Role
Strong Life Care is seeking a Cook to join our team at Cooper House on a permanent, part-time basis.
Reporting to the Home Manager, the Cook is responsible for delivering a high-quality food service that meets the nutritional, cultural, and individual needs of our residents. You will work closely with other service teams to ensure excellent standards of hospitality, safety, and dignity are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management

Support Kitchen Assistants to ensure all regulatory and statutory requirements are met.

Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.

Complete catering-related reports accurately and on time.
-
Monitor food levels and manage stock in line with agreed budgets.

Action requirements arising from internal and external audits within required timescales.

Support the Home Manager with stock control of crockery, cutlery, and glassware.

Hospitality & Catering Services

Deliver a high-quality dining experience for residents.

Promote choice, dignity, and independence in all catering services.

Ensure meals meet the nutritional and dietary needs of all residents.

Complete and feedback on kitchen audits.

Engage with residents to gather feedback on food and beverage services.
-
Liaise with suppliers to ensure value for money and quality service.

Work closely with the Home Manager to maintain quality standards.

Skills / Qualifications:
- About You Experience in a catering or kitchen role (care or hospitality preferred). Level 3 Food Safety qualification is desirable but not essential. Passion for food
