Job summary
At the Glades, we believe that every person with a learning disability, physical disability or autism should be provided with the support they need to thrive. We are currently seeking passionate and enthusiastic Support Workers to work in our specialist nursing home, who have a genuine interest and passion in providing high quality care and enriching the lives of the people they support.
The Glades is a Grade 2 listed refurbished old manor house situated in Dinnington, a small town in Sheffield. Dinnington has a lively, bustling community, with plenty of shops, cafes, pubs, churches, theatres and community centres within walking distance of the home.
The home supports 12 service users with varying support needs to live meaningful, active and busy lives.
We are looking for staff with a can-do attitude who will bring warmth, energy and creativity into their support. You will be someone who can think on their feet and have the ability to stay calm on busier days or when there is a crisis. You will be a person who can be counted upon to provide reassurance to both service users, families and colleagues when needed.

Responsibilities
· Provided person-centred care and support tailored to individual needs.
· Build trusting relationships and support emotional and behavioural needs using Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) techniques.
· Provide support with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation and attending appointments.
· Support with day-to-day activities to ensure service users are able to participate in those they enjoy, make the most of every opportunity and enrich their lives.
Skills / Qualifications:
- • You will hold a L2 or L3 qualification in Health & Social Care or be willing to work towards this.
