  • Salary: *£51,168 per annum (£24.60 per hour) 
    Hours: 40 hours per week (mix of clinical and supernumerary hours)
  • Schedule: 2 x 12-hour shifts and 2 x 8-hour days dedicated to clinical management, full flexibility required 

Priesty Fields Care Home, part of the Sandstone Care Group, is seeking an experienced and forward?thinking Clinical Lead to support and elevate our clinical governance across our modern, purpose ? built 78?bed residential and nursing home. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) aiming to take the next step into a senior leadership role within a progressive and supportive care organisation.

As Clinical Lead, you will balance hands?on clinical practice with strategic leadership responsibilities, ensuring that our residents consistently receive safe, compassionate, person?centred care. You will work closely with a committed team and play a key part in driving our high standards, professional development, and continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities as Clinical Lead

  • Lead and coordinate day?to?day clinical operations to ensure safe, effective, person?centred care.
  • Maintain and enhance high standards of clinical practice, including care planning, clinical assessments, and medication management.
  • Oversee clinical governance processes such as audits, compliance checks, risk assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide visible clinical leadership, supporting, guiding, and inspiring nursing and care teams.
  • Conduct supervision, competency assessments, and ongoing training to promote continual learning and development.
  • Support the induction and onboarding of new clinical staff, ensuring they are confident and competent in their roles.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals to support excellent communication and outcomes.
  • Ensure all care plans are personalised, regularly reviewed, and updated in line with changes in health and wellbeing.
  • Promote a safe, dignified, and nurturing environment where residents feel valued and supported.
  • Work collaboratively with the Home Manager to drive quality improvements and maintain high CQC compliance standards.
  • Assist with workforce planning, rota management, and effective staff deployment across shifts.
  • Use sound clinical judgement and strong problem?solving skills to address issues promptly and effectively.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking an inspiring clinical professional who can balance compassionate leadership with high clinical standards and operational insight. You will bring:

  • NMC registration (RGN or RMN) with an active PIN and a commitment to best practice.
  • Proven experience in a senior nursing, deputy, or supervisory role within a nursing, dementia, or residential care environment.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, sound judgement, and up?to?date knowledge of CQC regulations and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, guide, and develop your team.
  • A proactive, solution?focused mindset and the confidence to lead in a fast?paced environment.
  • A caring, resident?centred approach, committed to delivering high?quality, meaningful care.
