?? Night Care Assistant – Residential Care Home

We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Care Assistant to support our residents and ensure their comfort, dignity, and safety throughout the night. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a calm, homely environment and takes pride in delivering person?centred care.

? Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care to residents, including washing, dressing, toileting, and continence support
  • Carrying out regular night checks and responding promptly to call bells or changes in residents’ needs
  • Supporting safe mobility, including repositioning residents to maintain comfort and prevent pressure areas
  • Assisting residents with their bedtime routines and offering support to those who wake during the night
  • Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and accurately recording observations in line with care plans
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe environment, including light housekeeping tasks
  • Preparing the home for the morning shift, such as setting up communal areas or assisting with early risers
  • Providing reassurance, companionship, and emotional support when residents feel anxious or unsettled
  • Reporting any concerns or changes in condition to senior staff
  • Working collaboratively with the night team to uphold high standards of care and safeguarding

  • Experience in residential care is an advantage, but full training can be provided for the right person
