Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. You will supervise and support junior staff, ensuring that all care plans are effectively implemented and that residents receive the utmost respect and dignity in their daily activities. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor junior care staff, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks.
  • Assist residents with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident care and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Drive engagement activities that promote social interaction and enhance the quality of life for residents.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care home environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in IT systems used for record keeping and communication.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to resident interaction.
  • Knowledge of care home regulations and best practices in senior care.
  • Ability to drive engagement initiatives that promote resident well-being.
  • Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team.
